Semester 1
Arabic for beginners 1 (3 Credits)
Introduction to Basic Arabic Grammar is an introductory course that familiarizes
students with the Arabic Alphabet, its correct pronunciation, how to write and read, and
how to use commonly used greetings and phrases.
English Composition 101 (3 Credits)
Basic grammar and vocabulary elements of English Composition are introduced for
business writing, personal writing, and different applications used in our daily lives.
Islamic Creed 1 (3 Credits)
Islamic Creed covers belief in Allah (His existence, beginning of the creation, and
causation of Allah), as well as the three fundamentals of Al Islam, Al Iman, and Al Ihsan.
Islamic Jurisprudence 1: (3 Credits)
Understanding Dharah (cleanliness) and Najaza (impurity) and their types. Islamic
Jurisprudence covers how to clean the body, the materials, and the locations, as well as
the understanding of the Salah, the Zakah, the Fasting, and the Pilgrimage according the
correct understanding of the Kitaab and Sunnah.
Sciences of Al-Quran 1 (3 Credits)
Sciences of Al-Quran is a general overview of the types of the Quranic sciences: the
beginning of the revelation, the writing of the Quran, the ten Qiraats, the sciences
related to Tafseer and its types, the rules of tajweed the correct recitation. The
memorization of juz Amma in this semester for beginners.
Computer Studies: (2 Credits)
This course focuses on everything that has direct or indirect relations with computers:
systems of a computer, its applications, its parts, its devices, and peripherals; electronic
communications (wired or wireless); computing use in general.
Semester 2
Biography of the Prophet 1 (2 Credits)
The course summarizes the conditions of the Arab peninsula and the whole world
before the prophet hood, the Dawah missions of the Prophet and his companions, and
the difficulties faced by the Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) and his
companions during the time of ancient Makkah.
Arabic for Beginners 2 (3 Credits)
This course extensively teaches students oral communication of the Arabic language.
Writing, reading, and grammar are taught in accordance with this level.
Islamic Jurisprudence 2 (2 Credits)
The course will analyze Jihad, business transactions, contracts, marriage, divorce,
inheritance, etc.
Sciences of Al Hadeeth 1 (2 Credits)
This class will be divided into three sections: an overview of the Sciences of Al Hadeeth
and its types, and the detailed explanation of the Sciences of Al Hadeeth.
Islamic Creed 2 (3 Credits)
The course will take lessons of the creed from Minhaj Al Muslim with explanations of
excerpts from many different creeds.
Math Applications (1 Credit)
This course focuses on ways to use math in everyday life for many different aspects.
Sciences of Al Quran 2 (3 Credit)
Continuation of juz Amma’s explanation, rules of Al Tajweed, and memorization of
second juz Tabarack.
Semester 3
Biography of the Prophet (PBUH) 2 (3 Credits)
This course covers the arrival of the Prophet (PBUH) in Medina, the formation of new
government, the peace treaties between medina residents, the Islamic government and
other entities outside of Medina. Furthermore, the course covers major events such as
Gazawat (military confrontations, the death of the Prophet (PBUH) and transitions of
the Khilafas.
Arabic for Intermediate 1 (3 Credits)
This course will analyze grammar, writing, reading, speaking and examples from the
Quran and Sunah.
Sciences of Al Quran 3 (3 Credits)
This course will focus memorizing juz Al Mujaddalah in topical explanation of Al Quran
that suits for our modern times. Understanding being a follower and being innovator.
Al Fiqh Foundations (2 Credits)
Foundation’s beginning as a science. Its benefits and applications. One by one
foundation with Islamic studies in real world. It helps how to apply in real life and better
understand the Qur’an and the Sunnah texts.
Computer Studies 2 (2 Credits)
This course focuses on computing knowledge generally. It analyzes latest technologies
of computing and opportunity for students to gain skills and expertise in this field.
English Composition 102 (3 Credits)
The main focus of this class will be creative writing, public speaking and ways to
communicate with your audience in writing or giving speeches. The student will make
an oral presentation.
Semester 4
Sciences of Al Hadeeth 2 (2 Credits
Throughout this course, students will learn seventy prophetic Hadeeths with its chains
by memorizing, its explanations, its analyses, and the benefits to gain from
understanding.
Arabic for Intermediate 2 (3 Credits)
This will teach and analyze advanced grammar while using examples in many different
topics.
Islamic Jurisprudence 3 (3 Credits)
This course is continuation of IJ2, and will focus on dealings among people and its
regulations. Public swearing, witness rules and conditions, Islamic punitive laws and
other dealings.
Sciences of Al Quran 4 (3 Credits)
Analytical tafseer focusing on signs of Allah and His bounty, including to bonder and
reflect on ourselves and Allah’s creations.
Analytical tafseer focusing on signs of Allah and His bounty that will include pondering
and reflecting on ourselves and Allah’s creations.
Islamic Creed 3 (3 Credits)
Through this course students will further study Islamic Creed in advanced way to learn
more and master the subject Islamic Creed. The students will use Al Tahawiyah book as
text book with its explanation.
Maxims of Al Fiqh (2 Credits)
Start and the origins of the maxims. Its benefits and applications. Covering all maxims
one by one. The importance of maxims to Muslim scholars, and students pursuing in
Islamic Studies.
Semester 5
Methods of Islamic Propagation 1 (3 Credits)
This course focuses on foundations of Dawah, such as its virtues, wisdom, methods, in
the past and present. All messengers dawah as an example for this Ummah.
Stories of the Prophets (3 Credits)
This course emphasizes on the stories about the Prophets in a historical timeline
sequence from authentic sources of the Quran and the Sunnah.
Sociology (1 Credit)
This course describes formation of society, its conditions and surroundings. The
demographical aspects of the sociology, social status, ethnicity, globalization and social
media.
Arabic For Advanced 1 (3 Credits)
At this level students will continue to learn creative writing, business, personal, research
writings, citations, booklets, etc. Students will be introduced how to use PowerPoint
presentation with short speeches.
Human Civilization (2 Credits)
This course starts with presenting the beginning of the creations, especially creation of
the human beings, descent of Adam and Eve from Heaven to the Earth. Ancient stories
and their migrations, in accordance of Al Quran and the Al Hadeeth. It repudiates
theories of the Atheists in the past and the present.
Physical Education (1 Credit)
This course focuses on will teach about the importance of exercise and training the body
with the guidance of Islamic manners. With the respect of time, the Salat on time and
keeping both genders separate.
World Religions and sects (2)
This course will teach the students religions other than the religion of Allah (Al Islam).
Teaching that are sequenced as historical timelines of religions and sects one after the
other.
Semester 6
Sciences of Al Hadeeth 3 (3 Credits)
This course will be advanced level than its preceding course, it will utilize as learning
book of AlLulu Wal Marjaan (Pearls and Corals) in order to present to the students some
of the authentic sources of the Sunnah, like the Saheehain (Bukhari and Muslim).
Methods of Islamic Propagation 2 (3 Credits)
This course teaches obstacles of the Dawah in the past and present. Conditions of
Dawah at the global level and Muslim World specifically. The role of the Muslim in
propagating Islam, promoting the virtue and preventing the vice. Tajdeed and
mujadadeen (reform and reformers) and their roles, scopes, and levels. Guiding non-
Muslims and ways to reach them.
Soul Purification (2 Credits)
To learn ways to remove all sickness of the heart and to eradicate all unlawful desires
which may reside in the hearts of mankind from the Minor Shirk to smallest sin. First,
the course will talk about how to cleanse of the heart from smaller polytheism and
diseases of the heart and to fill the heart with its cures which is the good Islamic
manners and atticates such as; Al Ikhlas, tawwakul, yaqeen, etc. Azuhdi (Asceticism) and
Al warah (Refraintment) will be addressed.
Science (1 Credit)
This course summarizes all three elements of the science from Islamic perspectives that
will accept or reject theories according to Islamic teachings.
American History, Law and System (3 Credits)
This course teaches the history of the Americas continent before migration of the
Europeans and slaves from Africa and from Asia. Analysis of manmade laws of federal,
state, and local levels. Possibilities of some of the laws are from Islamic sources without
crediting it to the Islamic Judiciary System.
Islamic Jurisprudence 4 (3 Credits)
This course focuses on selected topics from Al Quran and Al Sunnah. It gives the student
tools to understand subjects, to interpret and extract from correct understanding. The
difference between preferred and unpreferred and examples from Al Fiqh.
Semester 7
Contemporary Issues (2 Credits)
New advancements in the fields of medicine, business etc. For example the knowledge
human beings have in the state of the fetus in the womb of the mother after Allah (God)
creates it, and many various new issues.
Political System of Al Islam (2 Credits)
An in depth understanding of the political aspects of governance in Islam, from the way
we elect our leadership to how the government maintains the rights of the people in
accordance with the Kitaab and Sunnah.
Research Methods (2 Credits)
The systematic approach toward research objectives. Emphasis on the methods in which
to utilize and measure the effectiveness of the research and applicability of the findings.
History of Al Khulafaa Al Rashideen:
Starting from the end times of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and how
Khalifat Abubakar (may Allah be pleased with him) has been chosen. During his Khilafah
and its events. During Omar (may Allah be pleased with him), and his accomplishments.
Othman (may Allah be pleased with him), and how he furthered Islam’s authority and
the scope of the land of he controlled. Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), and his reign
and how he continued to advance Islam and Muslim Ummah in general.
Geography and Environment (2 Credits)
a. Comprehensive study about the creation. (b) The importance of environmental
preservation in Islam.
Teaching Methodologies:
Introducing the methods of teaching in the past and present. The speech and its role in
educating in modern times. The khatabat (oration) and its importance in the past and
present.
Semester 8
Islamic History 1 (3 Credits)
Starting from the time of Khilafat of ameerul Mumineen Muawiyah Bin Abi Sufyan
(radhiyalLahu anhu) until our contemporary times.
Psychology and Counseling (2 Credits)
The study of human behavior and attitudes, personality, and relations with others.
Human beings are social by the creation of Allah.
Islamic Judiciary System (2 Credits)
Importance of judiciary system and its role in our life. Judiciary is the life. The judges and
how to select the judges. Conditions and terms for judges. Elements the judges will
employ to get to the judgments and findings. How to judge among the people.
Islamic Jurisprudence 5 (3 Credits)
The course will focus on comparative understanding of jurisprudence issues between
four major madhabs (branches) of Ahlu-Sunnah. It will shed the light on other
perspectives of other Islamic (Ahlu-Sunnah) branches (unknown madhabs), to give the
students more knowledge about all Ahl-Sunnah opinions about many different
examples.
BA Thesis (2 Credits)
This course focuses on how students can write research based on something about
Islamic Studies and experience of during research and before the research.

Course descriptions

  • 1. Semester 1 Arabic for beginners 1 (3 Credits) Introduction to Basic Arabic Grammar is an introductory course that familiarizes students with the Arabic Alphabet, its correct pronunciation, how to write and read, and how to use commonly used greetings and phrases. English Composition 101 (3 Credits) Basic grammar and vocabulary elements of English Composition are introduced for business writing, personal writing, and different applications used in our daily lives. Islamic Creed 1 (3 Credits) Islamic Creed covers belief in Allah (His existence, beginning of the creation, and causation of Allah), as well as the three fundamentals of Al Islam, Al Iman, and Al Ihsan. Islamic Jurisprudence 1: (3 Credits) Understanding Dharah (cleanliness) and Najaza (impurity) and their types. Islamic Jurisprudence covers how to clean the body, the materials, and the locations, as well as the understanding of the Salah, the Zakah, the Fasting, and the Pilgrimage according the correct understanding of the Kitaab and Sunnah. Sciences of Al-Quran 1 (3 Credits) Sciences of Al-Quran is a general overview of the types of the Quranic sciences: the beginning of the revelation, the writing of the Quran, the ten Qiraats, the sciences related to Tafseer and its types, the rules of tajweed the correct recitation. The memorization of juz Amma in this semester for beginners. Computer Studies: (2 Credits) This course focuses on everything that has direct or indirect relations with computers: systems of a computer, its applications, its parts, its devices, and peripherals; electronic communications (wired or wireless); computing use in general. Semester 2 Biography of the Prophet 1 (2 Credits) The course summarizes the conditions of the Arab peninsula and the whole world before the prophet hood, the Dawah missions of the Prophet and his companions, and the difficulties faced by the Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) and his companions during the time of ancient Makkah.
  • 2. Arabic for Beginners 2 (3 Credits) This course extensively teaches students oral communication of the Arabic language. Writing, reading, and grammar are taught in accordance with this level. Islamic Jurisprudence 2 (2 Credits) The course will analyze Jihad, business transactions, contracts, marriage, divorce, inheritance, etc. Sciences of Al Hadeeth 1 (2 Credits) This class will be divided into three sections: an overview of the Sciences of Al Hadeeth and its types, and the detailed explanation of the Sciences of Al Hadeeth. Islamic Creed 2 (3 Credits) The course will take lessons of the creed from Minhaj Al Muslim with explanations of excerpts from many different creeds. Math Applications (1 Credit) This course focuses on ways to use math in everyday life for many different aspects. Sciences of Al Quran 2 (3 Credit) Continuation of juz Amma’s explanation, rules of Al Tajweed, and memorization of second juz Tabarack. Semester 3 Biography of the Prophet (PBUH) 2 (3 Credits) This course covers the arrival of the Prophet (PBUH) in Medina, the formation of new government, the peace treaties between medina residents, the Islamic government and other entities outside of Medina. Furthermore, the course covers major events such as Gazawat (military confrontations, the death of the Prophet (PBUH) and transitions of the Khilafas. Arabic for Intermediate 1 (3 Credits) This course will analyze grammar, writing, reading, speaking and examples from the Quran and Sunah. Sciences of Al Quran 3 (3 Credits) This course will focus memorizing juz Al Mujaddalah in topical explanation of Al Quran that suits for our modern times. Understanding being a follower and being innovator.
  • 3. Al Fiqh Foundations (2 Credits) Foundation’s beginning as a science. Its benefits and applications. One by one foundation with Islamic studies in real world. It helps how to apply in real life and better understand the Qur’an and the Sunnah texts. Computer Studies 2 (2 Credits) This course focuses on computing knowledge generally. It analyzes latest technologies of computing and opportunity for students to gain skills and expertise in this field. English Composition 102 (3 Credits) The main focus of this class will be creative writing, public speaking and ways to communicate with your audience in writing or giving speeches. The student will make an oral presentation. Semester 4 Sciences of Al Hadeeth 2 (2 Credits Throughout this course, students will learn seventy prophetic Hadeeths with its chains by memorizing, its explanations, its analyses, and the benefits to gain from understanding. Arabic for Intermediate 2 (3 Credits) This will teach and analyze advanced grammar while using examples in many different topics. Islamic Jurisprudence 3 (3 Credits) This course is continuation of IJ2, and will focus on dealings among people and its regulations. Public swearing, witness rules and conditions, Islamic punitive laws and other dealings. Sciences of Al Quran 4 (3 Credits) Analytical tafseer focusing on signs of Allah and His bounty, including to bonder and reflect on ourselves and Allah’s creations.   • 4. Islamic Creed 3 (3 Credits) Through this course students will further study Islamic Creed in advanced way to learn more and master the subject Islamic Creed. The students will use Al Tahawiyah book as text book with its explanation. Maxims of Al Fiqh (2 Credits) Start and the origins of the maxims. Its benefits and applications. Covering all maxims one by one. The importance of maxims to Muslim scholars, and students pursuing in Islamic Studies. Semester 5 Methods of Islamic Propagation 1 (3 Credits) This course focuses on foundations of Dawah, such as its virtues, wisdom, methods, in the past and present. All messengers dawah as an example for this Ummah. Stories of the Prophets (3 Credits) This course emphasizes on the stories about the Prophets in a historical timeline sequence from authentic sources of the Quran and the Sunnah. Sociology (1 Credit) This course describes formation of society, its conditions and surroundings. The demographical aspects of the sociology, social status, ethnicity, globalization and social media. Arabic For Advanced 1 (3 Credits) At this level students will continue to learn creative writing, business, personal, research writings, citations, booklets, etc. Students will be introduced how to use PowerPoint presentation with short speeches. Human Civilization (2 Credits) This course starts with presenting the beginning of the creations, especially creation of the human beings, descent of Adam and Eve from Heaven to the Earth. Ancient stories and their migrations, in accordance of Al Quran and the Al Hadeeth. It repudiates theories of the Atheists in the past and the present.
  • 5. Physical Education (1 Credit) This course focuses on will teach about the importance of exercise and training the body with the guidance of Islamic manners. With the respect of time, the Salat on time and keeping both genders separate. World Religions and sects (2) This course will teach the students religions other than the religion of Allah (Al Islam). Teaching that are sequenced as historical timelines of religions and sects one after the other. Semester 6 Sciences of Al Hadeeth 3 (3 Credits) This course will be advanced level than its preceding course, it will utilize as learning book of AlLulu Wal Marjaan (Pearls and Corals) in order to present to the students some of the authentic sources of the Sunnah, like the Saheehain (Bukhari and Muslim). Methods of Islamic Propagation 2 (3 Credits) This course teaches obstacles of the Dawah in the past and present. Conditions of Dawah at the global level and Muslim World specifically. The role of the Muslim in propagating Islam, promoting the virtue and preventing the vice. Tajdeed and mujadadeen (reform and reformers) and their roles, scopes, and levels. Guiding non- Muslims and ways to reach them. Soul Purification (2 Credits) To learn ways to remove all sickness of the heart and to eradicate all unlawful desires which may reside in the hearts of mankind from the Minor Shirk to smallest sin. First, the course will talk about how to cleanse of the heart from smaller polytheism and diseases of the heart and to fill the heart with its cures which is the good Islamic manners and atticates such as; Al Ikhlas, tawwakul, yaqeen, etc. Azuhdi (Asceticism) and Al warah (Refraintment) will be addressed. Science (1 Credit) This course summarizes all three elements of the science from Islamic perspectives that will accept or reject theories according to Islamic teachings. American History, Law and System (3 Credits) This course teaches the history of the Americas continent before migration of the Europeans and slaves from Africa and from Asia. Analysis of manmade laws of federal, state, and local levels. Possibilities of some of the laws are from Islamic sources without crediting it to the Islamic Judiciary System.
  • 6. Islamic Jurisprudence 4 (3 Credits) This course focuses on selected topics from Al Quran and Al Sunnah. It gives the student tools to understand subjects, to interpret and extract from correct understanding. The difference between preferred and unpreferred and examples from Al Fiqh. Semester 7 Contemporary Issues (2 Credits) New advancements in the fields of medicine, business etc. For example the knowledge human beings have in the state of the fetus in the womb of the mother after Allah (God) creates it, and many various new issues. Political System of Al Islam (2 Credits) An in depth understanding of the political aspects of governance in Islam, from the way we elect our leadership to how the government maintains the rights of the people in accordance with the Kitaab and Sunnah. Research Methods (2 Credits) The systematic approach toward research objectives. Emphasis on the methods in which to utilize and measure the effectiveness of the research and applicability of the findings. History of Al Khulafaa Al Rashideen: Starting from the end times of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and how Khalifat Abubakar (may Allah be pleased with him) has been chosen. During his Khilafah and its events. During Omar (may Allah be pleased with him), and his accomplishments. Othman (may Allah be pleased with him), and how he furthered Islam’s authority and the scope of the land of he controlled. Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), and his reign and how he continued to advance Islam and Muslim Ummah in general. Geography and Environment (2 Credits) a. Comprehensive study about the creation. (b) The importance of environmental preservation in Islam. Teaching Methodologies: Introducing the methods of teaching in the past and present. The speech and its role in educating in modern times. The khatabat (oration) and its importance in the past and present.
  • 7. Semester 8 Islamic History 1 (3 Credits) Starting from the time of Khilafat of ameerul Mumineen Muawiyah Bin Abi Sufyan (radhiyalLahu anhu) until our contemporary times. Psychology and Counseling (2 Credits) The study of human behavior and attitudes, personality, and relations with others. Human beings are social by the creation of Allah. Islamic Judiciary System (2 Credits) Importance of judiciary system and its role in our life. Judiciary is the life. The judges and how to select the judges. Conditions and terms for judges. Elements the judges will employ to get to the judgments and findings. How to judge among the people. Islamic Jurisprudence 5 (3 Credits) The course will focus on comparative understanding of jurisprudence issues between four major madhabs (branches) of Ahlu-Sunnah. It will shed the light on other perspectives of other Islamic (Ahlu-Sunnah) branches (unknown madhabs), to give the students more knowledge about all Ahl-Sunnah opinions about many different examples. BA Thesis (2 Credits) This course focuses on how students can write research based on something about Islamic Studies and experience of during research and before the research.
