How effective is the combination of
 your main product and ancillary
               texts?
When put side by side the newspaper advert
and double page spread are easily recognized as
 being for the same documentary. This makes
   any new information or features upon the
        documentary easily noticeable.

The same fonts and colour schemes feature

Both of these also serve the same purpose of
advertising the documentary. The use of cross
media convergence creates a wider
advertising spread making information more
easily and readily available.
• The two print based features then serve to
  promote the main documentary.

Key differences occur in the amount of writing. The
double page spread contains a lot more depth of
information so requires a greater quantity of text. In
comparison the poster is far more visual and eye
catching with the large picture and film name in bold.



This difference means the poster is easily
accessible and will then spark an interest
leading to the person reading the double page
spread to gain more information.
By using one person in the film, double page
spread and poster that becomes an identifiable
face thus instantly associated with the
documentary.

• Viewing information features on both print
  based features to let the audience know when
  and where the documentary can be found
The documentary itself uses the key images from the
print based article and poster to then build upon those
with the final product. This is the most in depth section of
the 3 products in terms of finished product, whilst the
double page goes more into production and gives insight
into the people who made the documentary.
• A main theme going across all the products is a relaxed
  nature, in the film with subtle colours and slow paced
  music. Then in the print based products with soft
  colours and fonts as well as a relaxed posture of the
  person in the pictures. This contrasts with the high
  action shown in the pictures and video of bmx riding
• Continuity in background and setting makes
  the 3 productions easily identifiable. If you
  look at these three pictures it is apparent that
  the same setting is used for each.
