This document briefly mentions the details of AERON GPS product with RS232, RS485, TTL level output for time synchronization in Digital Clocks application
1. STANDALONE GPS: ARN‐SGPS
STANDALONE GPS FOR DIGITAL CLOCKS
ARN‐SGPS is an easy to use GPS with variety of interfaces. It gives IST (Indian Standard Time) time
output once every second.
The device uses high quality GPS engine for shortest start up time with minimal power consumption.
The device is available in metallic enclosure or board alone versions. It is offered with external an‐
tenna.

Data output rate: 1 Hz
Output Format: RS232, RS485 or TTL

DATA OUTPUT FORMAT
The time data is available in following formats on RS232 or RS485
differential lines:
Format 1: “ARN‐SGPS>hh:mm:ssrn”
Format 2: “ARN‐SGPS>DD:MM:YYYY:hh:mm:ssrn”
Where, ARN‐SGPS> is header, followed by DD ‐ day, MM ‐ month, YYYY ‐ year, hh ‐ hours,
mm ‐ minutes, ss ‐ seconds and carriage return and line feed characters.
The above formats are factory selectable. User must choose from one of these formats be‐
fore ordering.
