1. Pi Phi Domination… for the fourth year in a row DERBY DAYS 2011

2. What is Derby Days? If you ever wondered why sororities/fraternities hold week long events in order to raise money for their philanthropies, you’ll be surprised to found out that Derby Days was the ORIGINAL philanthropic event/competition to ever take place. Derby Days is Sigma Chi’s fundraising event whose chapters across the nation hold in order to raise money for their national philanthropy, The Children’s Miracle Network.

3. Who cares about Derby Days? Not only is Derby Days important to Sigma Chi, but to PI BETA PHI CALIFORNIA EPSILON!!!! Although I have never competed in Derby Days, I feel the spirit of competition and its importance to our chapter. Derby Days is a very unique and special time for our chapter to bond, release our inner badass, and support a great cause. With this, we need all the support and participation necessary for our chapter to continue the tradition of holding the title of THE TRUE CHAMPIONS OF SIGMA CHI DERBY DAYS.

4. YOUR CHAPTER NEEDS YOU!!!!!! This week requires more time, effort, and energy than you can imagine. It is HIGHLY recommended that everyone gets ahead of their studies NOW so you don’t stress about school the week of and after Derby Days.

5. T-SHIRT ORDERS Monday October 10 At chapter meeting, I will be passing out t-shirt order forms. EVERYONE IS REQUIRED TO PURCHASE A T-SHIRT. It will cost $15 and HEY, THEY’RE KINDA CUTE!!!!!!! (Fall 11, I recommend buying more than 1… so next year you can give it to your little(s)!!! :D )

6. Derby Days SleepoverFriday October 14 THIS IS A HUGEEEE BONDING NIGHT!!! I am still in the process of organizing the sleepover but it will be one of the most fun nights you will have this semester, maybe even year. GET EXCITED!!!! I will post more info on it later but CLEAR YOUR CALENDAR FOR THIS NIGHT OR YOU’LL BE SORRY!!!!!!!!!!

7. Poster Contest Sunday October 16 By midnight on Sunday, our poster needs to be hung up on Sigma Chi’s house. Our poster will most likely be completed the night of the sleepover, so there’s not too much to do, but be at the house that night so we can hang it up with our coaches. I will give more info on specific times the night of the sleepover.

8. “Mark your territory” Monday October 17 Girls… THIS NIGHT IS HUGE!!!!!! We are assigned a specific spot in the house to literally mark our territory. Huge participation is necessary, but luckily most of our posters/signs to hang up will already completed during the night of the sleepover. However, SPRAY PAINTING IS GOING DOWN SO GET FUCKING STOKED. PHI BETA!!!!!

9. Service Day Tuesday/Wednesday October 18&19 As big as the day of the paintballing competition is, SERVICE DAY IS EQUALLY IMPORTANT!!!! We need as many girls as possible to serve for two hours at Feeding America. Sign-up sheets will go around either at this upcoming chapter meeting or the next. Yay for feeding the needy!!!!!

10. Bro Auction & Raffle Wednesday October 19 What better way to get raise money/get our chapter points than to BID ON A BRO TO TAKE YOU ON A DATE?!!?!??!!?!?! For the bro auction, only 25-30 girls will be allowed to attend this event due to limited space. Girls will be given a space by order of inish/being a diehard Sigma Chi groupie/willing to spend $$$$. Dates with a bro include a JACK JOHNSON CONCERT, going out to a nice steak dinner, etc. SIGMA CHIS ARE FUCKING HOT SO THIS IS YOUR CHANCE TO WIN THEIR FRATTY HEARTS!!!!

11. Benefit Concert Thursday October 20 Tonight is ANOTHER HUGE NIGHT!!!! I expect EVERYONE to buy a ticket. They are ONLY $10!!!! Performers will include DJ Skinnie (A Phi Kap DJ) DJ Jason Ross (A FUCKING HOT SIGMA CHI) and THE E.C. TWINS!!!!!!! It is going to be a blast because we will all be there together!!!! If you want to bring a friend who isn’t in the greek system or doesn’t even go to SDSU, TICKETS ARE ONLY $15!!!! Please pleasepleaseeeee advertise this to non-greeks because it will help us a lot in gaining points!!!!!

12. Game Day Dinner Friday October 21 Girls who have been selected to participate in the actual paintballing will head over to sigma chi for a dinner banquet and some fun activities with other participating sororities and our coaches! Be prepared for a satisfying dinner and lots of fun. But remember not to get toooo crazy because we need you ladies fully rested and sound for the actual philanthropy!

13. GAME DAY Saturday October 22 The big day is finally here! Buses will be leaving at 9 so it will be an early morning. The actual paintballing place is 45 minutes away so be prepared, and girls who are not actually paintballing don’t get discouraged….there are SOOOO many fun activities to partake in and of course we will be cheering on our super star angel paint ballers. This is the big day so EVERYONE must be there.

14. I’m sorry if this is a lot of info to take in but this is the only way to ensure that everyone is on the same page as me!!!! I will be going over this again at meeting but MEMORIZE these dates and events so there is zero confusion. I will be taking questions at meeting. I LOVE YOU ALL!!!!! BOOM BOOM!!!!!
