thing that comes in mind , what are the basic C’s of
the “effective communication”.
This C’s tells us how your message can becomes
effective for your target group’
These C’s also tell about style and impotance of the
message.
These C’s are the key for the effective communication.
Communication is the heart and soul of any
business.
4. Completeness…
The Dictionary says that to make complete is to make
something whole or perfect . Communication ,
therefore , should be of a perfect nature.
Complete information and details should be provided
when required . If you are writing a report for
someone higher in the organization then provide your
findings and recommendations in a manner that does
not make it necessary for him or her to ask you again.
Remember , ” Haste makes for Waste ”.
5. Clarity…
Clarity implies emphasizing on a a specific message or
goal at a time, rather than trying to achieve too much
at once. Clarity in a communication has following
features:
* It makes understanding easier.
* Complete clarity of thoughts and ideas
enhances the meaning of message.
Clear message makes use of exact,appropriate and
concrete words.
6. Conciseness…
When you're concise in your communication, you
stick to the point and keep it brief. Your audience
doesn't want to read six sentences when you could
communicate your message in three.
Conciseness means communicating what you want to
convey in least possible words. Conciseness is a
necessary for effective communication.

7. Correctness…
Correctness in communication implies that there are no
grammatical errors in communication.
Correct communication has following features:
* The message is exact , correct and well-timed.

*Correct message has greater impact on the
audience/readers.
*It makes use of appropriate and correct language
in the message.
8. Courtesy…
Courtesy in message implies the message should show the
sender’s expression as well as should respect the receiver.
The sender of the message should be sincerely polite ,
judicious , reflective and enthusiastic.
Courteous message has following features:
*Courtesy implies taking into consideration both
viewpoints as well as feelings of the receiver of
the message.
*Courteous message is positive and focused at the
audience.
9. Tact…
Tact and courtesy go together. Tact is the skill and
understanding shown by a person in handling people
and situations in such a way that no offence is caused.

writing.

Consideration implies “stepping into the shoes of others”.

consideration.
Modify your words in message to suit the audience’s needs

*Empathize with the audience and exhibit interest
in the audience. This will stimulate a positive
reaction from the audience.
12. Concreteness…
Concrete communication implies being particular and
clear rather than fuzzy and general. Concreteness
strengthens the confidence. Concrete message has
following features:
*It is supported with specific facts and figures.
*It makes use of words that are clear and that build
the reputation.
*Concrete messages are not misinterpreted.
