15. “Nettie” In the movie Nettie comes to live with Mister and Celie. While living with the two she teaches Celie to read. In the movie she later movies to Africa and is united with Celie children.
17. “Harpo” Harpo was Mister son. Harpo was married to Sophia and wanted to control her.
18. Conclusion The main reason that the movie was written was fact that many black people are illiterate and therefore are not capable of reading. The movie depicts Celie’s story in a different way than the book does and leaves out essential themes.
