The Library has responsibility in the University for:
• • Library services delivered from three on-campus libraries; from a range of learning
spaces in teaching buildings and remotely
• • Management of student learning spaces in libraries and in teaching buildings across
the campus
• • Management of the collections - digital and physical including archives
• • Curation and dissemination of University research outputs including publications and
research data, via the Institutional Repository and other services
• • Subject information expertise and support for research
• • The co-ordination of academic learning skills support across the University and the
delivery of training in information and digital literacies
• • University print and copy services, including the central reprographics service and
local staff and student print and copy services

Value
Importance that stakeholders (funding institutions; politicians; the public; service users; staff, etc.)
attach to libraries and which is related to the perception of actual or potential benefit
Impact
Difference or change in an individual or group resulting from the contact with library services.
(Note the change can be tangible or intangible)
** Definitions from BS ISO 16439:2014 (methods and procedures for assessing the impact of libraries)
