2. Introduction The muscles listed are concentrically contracting to produce these movements. The muscles that are eccentrically contracting are the antagonist muscles (e.g., for abduction, the eccentrically contracting muscles are the muscles listed to adduction). Most images were taken from the IFA Essentials and from the YouTube clip “Alan dancing” (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-WcP0JkMHV8).
