2. Get to Know RANAA
Launched in 2002 in Tunisia – ATL-MST /Sida , in
collaboration with UNAIDS and the UNDP HARPAS, RANAA
was initiated by CSOs for the coordination and unification of
action of CSOs against the spread of HIV/AIDS in the region.

A strong active civil society in the MENA region working
collectively on HIV/AIDS towards having no new
incidents, reaching low rate of mortalities, and ensuring
the rights of PLHIV to live in dignity and have access to
treatment & care.

Strengthen the role of CSOs in limiting the spread of HIV/AIDS in
the MENA region
Ensure the rights of PLHIV to live in dignity and have access to
treatment & care, through enabling its members and providing
them technical support
Act as a regional hub to assure the representation of CSOs
through networking at the regional and international levels.

• Improve coordination and networking among Civil Society
Organizations (CSOs) in the region;
• Facilitate capacity building to CSOs in the region through
regional trainings, workshops and exchange visits;
• 3 exchange visits ( Tunisia, Egypt and Lebanon)
• 3 sub regional trainings ( Morocco, Lebanon, Sudan)
• 1 regional training
10. Our Activities
• Provide technical support to establish national networks;
• Ensure better participation of women and PLHIV in decision
making;
• Represent CSOs in regional and international events;
• Offer small grants to members in the region;
• Coordinate regional research and advocacy projects;
• Help in the creation of regional initiatives addressing HIV.
