The Boy Scouts of America: Building Character for Tomorrow’s Youth- Discussing the BSA especially in New York, what they do for the community, the leadership here in New York (like Robert F. Scoular, Bill Sonneborn, and Gary Jones), and what you can do
My younger cousin has been in Boy Scouts since he was little and has learned so much from it. I made this slideshare for a college project to share the benefits of this organization so your brothers, sons, and cousins can benefit from it as well. I mostly only know the people up here in New York, so I focused mostly on the leadership here with people like Robert F. Scoular, Bill Sonneborn, and Gary Jones.
What they do
According to their website it “provides a program for young people that builds character, trains them in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and develops personal fitness.”
Not only do they have fun, but they combine educational activities and good values.
“The Boy Scouts of America believes — and, through over a century of experience, knows — that helping youth is a key to building a more conscientious, responsible, and productive society.
Many leaders around the country have given up time to help out young boys in the BSA. There are over 50 board members in NY that help make important decisions.
Bill Sonneborn and Gary Jones are 1of 16 Vice Presidents who donate their time and money to helping make the Boy Scouts a great organization.
Robert F. Scoular is another great leader in the NY area, and has been appointed the President and Board Chairman.

4. Recognition
As a boy scout, your boy’s good deeds are recognized
and rewarded. Badges are given out to give them a
feeling of accomplishment, so they strive to do more good
deeds.
