1. ANALYSIS OF MAGAZINE PAGES.

2. Masthead The masthead of this magazine is Q as it is short and bold and is always positioned in the left third at the top. The Q is recognisable and therefore it is easy for the target audience to pick up the magazine. Cover Lines These are shown at the side of the image informing the audience of other articles. FRONT COVER Flash This is another way to show what is included in the magazine, it also matches the colour scheme of the rest of the front page, in this case its black and white. Main Image This image is related to the main text of the page which shows that it is the main article within. Lily Allen is also a recognisable face so the magazine connects with the target audience. Banner A banner also shows other articles and helps the magazine to appeal to the target audience. Anchorage text. The anchorage text accompanies an image. An example would be the ‘wicked wicked ways’ can relate to her maybe unleashing the panthers that are shown

3. CONTENTS PAGE Title of the page The title of the page is written in bold so it is easily noticeable, it is also in white so it stands out from the rest of the writing on the page as it is a different colour. It is also place next to the magazine name logo which helps relate it to the front page. Picture A picture helps the audience link the main article to the list on the page and for those that are more visually orientated it will pay attention to it as they are less likely to read lists. Features The features on the page have the article names, subheadings and are numbered this makes it clearer for the audience to read and understand. Text All the text is clear and in a simple colour which makes it easier for the reader.

4. The double page spread is very simplistic with one whole page dedicated to the image, this draws the reader in as well as clearly stating who the double page spread is about. The other page being dedicated to the text in relation to the picture. It also includes a large red L to add colour to make it less dull and to stand for Lady Gaga who is in the photo. It also has Lady Gaga written at the top of the page as the title of the double page, the Lady is also written in a more feminine font to Connotate the word.
