Some things people may not know about me.

1. 25 Things about Myself!
Here are 25 things about myself, people may have not known. The first thing… I type with
two fingers and have been timed at 30 words a minute! :-)
Here’s the rest:
2 - My Name is not Al… It’s Albert! Way to go Mom and Dad! I was named after my
father. I preferred “Al” after I joined the Air Force.
3 - I was born in Mississippi on a farm.
4 - I am driven by one philosophy, with very few exceptions… Be Positive! Life is too short
to spend time being negative I learned that later in my adult years.
5 - I have a wide range of a “sense of humour” - but most people will never know that side
of me! Of course… if we have a few drinks and I see you are a bit on the far side also… it’s
on! If you are reading this and do get the chance… consider this your warning! :-) Some
people have taken my reserved personality as cold, arrogant, and standoffish… little do
they know, there is a freak within, being held back from public viewing!
6 - Lorraine (My Wife) is probably the only person who has ever been fully exposed to,
accepted, and actually liked me for all my crazy ideas and weird eccentrics! To anyone else
reading this that “thinks” they know that side of me… we haven’t even scratched the
surface!
7 - I completely and whole-heartily feel that I have the next $200 million dollar idea tucked
away somewhere inside my head! Hopefully, it will surface before the autopsy!
8 - I regret that I did not do more with my three sons and daughter on a daily basis. I feel I
could have been a much better father. There is no excuse.. just regret. Nuff said… and No,
I don’t feel better now that I said it! This is something I will change in my next
reincarnation!
9 - I love driving a car and have driven long distances without sleeping or stopping except
for gas. My longest no stop drive was from San Francisco to Destin, Florida back in 1956 in
a 1948 4-door New Yorker.
10 -Lorraine and I can spend all day Sunday reading our favourite book, in our housecoats
together, and only talk once or twice during that time! We like it that way!
11 - I literally do not like cell phones! Mine stays unused 99% of the time. I have it only for
emergency use. There are very exceptions to this rule! This is not a personal issue against

2. anyone… Just on my land phone I get at least 3 calls to “Mr. Gates” from Telemarketers
just about every day, and tire of telling them I do not need whatever service or product
they are selling!
12 - I read all my emails I get every day (not counting spam) - I answer 20% of them!
13 - I own, build, and manage, 15 websites as of today. None of them, at this point, generate
enough income to feed our cat.
14 - Call me an Optimist! I tend to focus more on the positive side of an issue versus the
negative side. It’s one of my personality traits. The weird part is that even though I can see
a negative side to everything, I will enthusiastically discuss the positive.
15 - It took almost 40 years of my life to achieve a feeling of security and success in
ANYTHING I tried to do. I attribute both, to the support and encouragement I get from
Lorraine on a daily basis!
16 - I kissed a Girl at 15… and I Liked It!
17 - I LOVE Helping others… I have my own way of getting things done, which, at times,
does not follow the norm. Cutting through a lot of BS seems to get things done quickly.
18 – I was car-hopping 3-days week at 14 and got so good at it that I could remember
everything that people ordered without writing it down!
19 - I still enjoy kissing my wife! We may be completely different personalities throughout
the day, but when we touch… I turn into a teenager again! Shhh… don’t tell her that!
20 – I love Chittlins. They are considered a delicacy (a special and desirable food) in
Mississippi and other parts of the South. But chittlins must be prepared carefully. Don’t
ask, you might throw up.
21 - My ex wife and I finally became friends when my youngest son insisted we both be at
his wedding. Weird!
22 - I believe in, and have my own relationship with God, but stay far away from organized
religion! Let’s not go there in this message…
23 - To date on Facebook, I have never been able to locate even one friend that I went to
high school with in Gulfport, Mississippi! I have searched to the ends of Facebook and have
come to the conclusion that I really didn’t exist as a teenager!

3. 24 – I’ve had one Nightmare in my whole life and that was in Korea back in 1955. I think I
woke up the entire barracks with my screaming.
25 - Finally… the 25th thing about me that everyone needs to know. This was seriously
some long stuff to write down on this page! If you skipped out of here without reading the
entire thing, I am hurt. Now… Where’s George Carlin, I need a good laugh!
