PART I – General information

The In-Service Training will last for 7 days (including travel days)

3. Objectives
Thanks to this project the participants will have:
growing competences in delivering educational products and information
(seminars, trainings, courses, workshops) through a better understanding of
Non-Formal Methods and instruments;
knowledge on non-formal theory and practice for an efficient stimulation of
learning;
growing awareness on non-formal importance approach for social-inclusion
of marginalized students, learners;
growing skills and competences in using “non-formal methods” for a bigger
efficiency of knowledge accumulation.
Our participants will:
Acquire knowledge and practical information about “Non-Formal Methods”;
Improve their practical skills related to how, when, with who, to use non-
formal methods;
Make contacts with individuals and organisations with similar experience
and exchange best practices

4. Methodology
Based on theory of Paulo Freire (dialogue, praxis and education) and practice of
Augusto Boal (“Forum Theatre”, “The Cop in the Head”; “The Rainbow of Desire”)
and John Bergman (“The right exercise for the right participant at the right time”),
our workshop is a wonderful time of discovering efficient ways through which any
information can be send it to students (learners) in a very simulative learning
process.
All our training is based on discovering the “Power of Non-formal Methods “but the
introduction will be structured for a better understanding of all non-formal
methods indicators.
Our work is an excited mixture of common and groups team work, interactive
exercises, presentations, brainstorming sessions, case studies, etc.
The participants will also receive a workbook with session’s summaries and
descriptions of activities used. We will recommend them interesting literature for
further study.
5. Profile of participants
The participants selected for attending the international training course in Iasi,
Romania should have the following profiles:
Be actively involved in their sending organization and motivated to be
involved in the training course
Being able to disseminate the information regarding the project in their
schools, be ready to undertake follow up actions and act as multipliers of the
gained knowledge later on
Be fully able to use English language with working proficiency
Being able to attend the full training course duration
Being prepared for the interim evaluations and one final evaluation at the
end of the course.
6. Preparation
Dear participants, we would like to hear more about you & your hopes/wishes for
this training. We will take your answers into consideration as we design our time

Delegate 5 minutes presentations: One of the main goals of the course is to
connect among each other. In order to achieve this goal we kindly ask you to
prepare a brief 5 minutes presentation. Here are some guidelines that might help
you:
- Tell us about your organization
- Tell us about your work
- Mention some interesting projects you work on
- During the first day share with us your goals and objectives regarding this
course.
Because we will use different colours on different days, please be aware about the
“Rainbow Method”. A Rainbow has 7 colours: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue,
Indigo and Violet. You should have something Red with you on your arrival day,
something Orange in the second day, …. etc. finalizing your last day, your departure
day with something Violet. Can be everything, use your creativity and imagination…

7. Hosting organization
EUROPANET Association is an NGO based in Iasi, organizing activities and projects
in the fields of education, management, entrepreneurship and European mobility.
We are organizing non-formal trainings and informal sessions, we develop new
curriculum‘s for our workshops and training on technically, artistically, community
development, leadership topics.
We are developing all our projects into an inter-institutional and an inter-
generational approach because we do believe that collaboration between people
with a different background is the key of a real success into community.
We are developing and implementing formal and non-formal education programs,
workshops for a growing communication of our local community and learners with
similar from Europe for a sustainable local, regional and European development.
We know from our trainings experience that non-formal education give resources
for an individual development, for a better personal and professional growing.
We promote Non-formal activities. Methods, exercises in all our projects and we are
developing new methods in Adult Learning New-Formal approach.
We do believe in „The Power of Non-Formal“.
Our trainers and experts are National trainers in Adult Education with an
experience of working into educational adult programmers for more than 15 years.

PART II – Practical Information regarding the training course
1. Course Venue: Iași, Romania
Iași is the last “European frontier” in Europe, the second town in Romania with a
population of 450.000 citizens.
Iasi is a beautiful, modern town with a small but very well equipped airport.

2. Travel information and directions
Please, remember to keep all your travel tickets and invoices since all
documents will be needed for the reimbursement process!
All participants will be welcome by our team in Iasi airport or train station and they
will be transported directly to the accommodation place (in the town centre).
We will provide also transport back to airport and train station for departure.
We will provide more detailed information after the participants and hotel are
confirmed, but we work usually with centered Hotels as:

In which our participants have a very divers breakfast, a possibility to be in the
center and also a possibility to have access to sport facilities (both hotels have very
nice swimming pools).
Once you are in our town we will have a first session with instruction about how
you can access public transportation in our area and in the same time how cheap is
to take a taxi in 3 or 4 people (cheaper than a local tram).

3. Accommodation
You will be accommodated in one of those hotels:

email.
EUROPANET Association will make the booking for your stay during the training
course.
For logistical reasons, our training room will be located or in your hotel or very
close to your accommodation.
Each hotel has free wireless Internet access, swimming pool, very nice restaurants
and is surrounded with very nice Café-s.
4. Meals
You will be provided with 3 daily meals, which will be taken in the restaurant of the
hotel as well as in other restaurants around the city. Also EUROPANET Association
is going to ensure 2 coffee breaks (in the morning and in the afternoon) during your
stay. We kindly ask you to specify any specialities in your food diet prior to the
course.
5. Transportations around the city
Outside town transportations should be managed on your own. Our volunteers will
be to your disposition for counselling you when you want to travel around our town.
Also, make sure that your flights are scheduled in a way to be able to reach your
travel timetables.
6. Top sights
In case if you have some free time, you could do some sightseeing. More

Please read in advance the link above and make your own discoveries in our town.
We are pretty sure that after 5 days into our town you will be able to teach us many,
many new things about our own town. Like Shakespeare said: “I do not know
how……but all the time it’s happening…it’s a mystery”
7. Insurance and emergency numbers
When you book and buy your international travel tickets please make sure to buy
also a health insurance for all days that you will be here in Romania. It’s not an
expensive insurance and at your arrival we will reimburse the costs. For this issue,
we can have a contact through email or phone.
