1. A Proud Kiwi!!
RWC 2011. I’m a part of this country, just as it’s a part of me. (Yes, we are
dressed as USA, we were supporting anyone but Australia).

2. Sport
Sport and exercise is something my main passion and something I am involved in most
days. It gives me so much enjoyment and satisfaction. I feel I have accomplished
something with my day as soon as I am active.

3. Healthy Food
Good food has been ingrained in me my entire life. I believe it helps to provide me
with a healthy mind and body as well as a positive outlook on life.

4. My tight knit family of three
In many ways, I consider myself blessed to be an only child. It has allowed me have a
unique and very special relationship with my parents. They are not only Mum and
Dad, but my best friends and role models.

5. Celebrations with my sizeable family
Christmas and other celebrations with beautiful food and backyard summer sports
with those closest to me is something I treasure and will continue gladly when it is my
turn for parenthood.

6. My School Life
(Our 7th form final day prank – a banner we put up as a way to wind up our
friends our school 1st XV). My teachers, school mates and extra curricular
activities have shaped who I am as a person and helped me make sense of
what I stand for and believe in.

– without it,

my life

8. My friends
Friends mean the world to me. They are part of my identity as they are simply always
there and are very much a part of many of my occupations.

9. Study
Whether I like it or not, study and school work is a huge part of my occupational
identity. While the study itself doesn’t give me occupational satisfaction, the fact that
it is a vital step toward becoming an occupational therapist does.

10. Challenges
I like to challenge myself in all areas of my life, from sport and physical activities to my
studies and paid employment. It gives me greater occupational satisfaction when I
know I have challenged myself and succeeded.
