3. UNFORTUNATELY, DETROIT IS KNOWN FOR ONE MORE
THING..
Detroit has one of the highest violent crime rates in the United States. As
a matter of fact, Aolrealestate.com just voted Detroit the number 1 most
miserable city in America.

4. HOW I SEE DETROIT.
Detroit is possibly one of the most complicated cities I have ever seen. For
example, the population is continuously decreasing but concert halls and clubs
are always packed. Even though Detroit has an extremely depressed economy,
the suburbs of Detroit are home to some of America’s richest people (and even
a few celebrities).
5. WHAT I LIKE ABOUT DETROIT.
-The restaurant scene is fantastic.
-There are opera stars, famous rock stars, and
comedic giants all performing every night.
-The Detroit Tigers (baseball) and the Detroit Red
Wings (hockey).
6. I CAN’T REALLY RELATE TO THE INHABITANTS OF DETROIT
Although, I love the exciting life of major cities, Detroit’s
crime rate and poor economy is difficult to handle.
In order to have fun in Detroit, I have to be really careful
with my surroundings.
People are also typically uneducated or unmotivated in the
city.
However, I have managed to surround myself with friends
and family members who have the same determination
and moral values as I.
7. HOW TO SAVE DETROIT
The major problem with Detroit lies within the cities corruption.
– Taxpayers’ money should move towards building reconstruction
• This would aesthetically improve the city, real estate market, and safety.
– The Detroit public schools program needs to be improved.
• Majority of Detroit’s violent crimes are conducted by the youth.
– Morale in Detroit needs to be restored.
• I see people everyday who simply gave up on their lives in this city.
8. MY FUTURE PLANS
I would love to live in a major city when I finish graduate school. However, the best
decision is for me to leave Detroit for a safer and more successful city.
