In the air, on land and the sea mammals, amphibians , birds and fish . All Species, worldwide have been disappearing at an alarming rate. This new rate of extinction has been verified by Renowned Scientist ,Prof. Pimm of SavingSpecies.org.
As you can see the freshwater population is down 50% and big ocean fish are down 90%. Marine animals and bird are down 30%.
So what can we do? Why does this matter to us? When I started this project I had no idea of the level of endangerment and extinction that is occurring world wide.
Augmented Reality & Virtual Reality
Creates immersive, computer-generated environments, and the real world, augmented reality is closer to the real world. Augmented reality adds graphics, sounds, haptic feedback and smell to the natural world as it exists. Both video games and cell phones are driving the development of augmented reality.
Augmented reality is changing the way we view the world -- or at least the way its users see the world. Picture yourself walking or driving down the street. With augmented-reality displays, which will eventually look much like a normal pair of glasses, informative graphics will appear in your field of view and audio will coincide with whatever you see. These enhancements will be refreshed continually to reflect the movements of your head. Similar devices and applications already exist, particularly on smartphones like the iPhone.
We selected the cutest of the species for our game which are endangered on each continent. Because cute counts for us to care and once we care then we change , we learn and we become active and hopeful.
Some you may recognize. Like the panda and the bengal tiger some you may have seen but do not know, like the golden tanmerin, california condor, and some may not be know to you.
We have already partnered with Saving Species which was begun by Pulitzer prose winning EO Wilson and Dr. Stuart Pimm of Duke University. We are planning for Wildlife Conservation Society, To give the next generation hope they can make change and find meaningful work to help the ecology and bio diversity of our planet.
