X strongly opposed the All-India Muslim League's demand for
the partition of India. When the Indian National
Congress declared its acceptance of the partition plan without
consulting the Khudai Khidmatgar leaders, he felt very sad and
told the Congress "you have thrown us to the wolves”. He spent
much of the 1960s and 1970s either in jail or in exile. Upon his
death in 1988 in Peshawar under house arrest, following his will,
he was buried at his house in Jalalabad, Afghanistan. Tens of
thousands of mourners attended his funeral, marching from
Peshawar to Jalalabad, although it was marred by two bomb
explosions killing 15 people. Despite the heavy fighting at the
time, both sides of the Soviet war in Afghanistan, the communist
army and the mujahideen, declared a ceasefire to allow his
burial. Give X.
Various Indian holy books like Mahabharat, Puranas etc., relate
that Ashwini Kumar brothers, the twins, who were Rajvaidya
(Royal Physicians) to Devas during Vedic times, first prepared this
formulation for Rishi Y at his Ashram on Dhosi Hill near Narnaul ,
Haryana, India, hence the name X. The first historically
documented formula for X appears in the Charaka Samhita, the
ancient Ayurvedic treatise from the early first millennium BCE. It
is prepared as per the instructions suggested in Ayurvedic texts.
It tastes sweet and sour at the same time. The taste is largely
dominated by the flavors of honey, ghee (clarified butter) and
amla and the smell by ghee and other spices including
sandalwood, cinnamon and cardamom.
The market size of X in 2010 was Indian Rs 4 billion (about $80
million USD). In India it is marketed through film stars and sports
persons. Give X.
In 1679, the French physicist Denis Papin invented this. In 1681,
Papin presented his invention to the Royal Society of London.
In 1864, Georg Gutbrod of Stuttgart began manufacturing it.
In 1918, Spain granted a patent for this to Jose Alix Martínez
from Zaragoza. Martínez named it the olla exprés.
It is an energy efficient and fast device compared to other
conventional devices. It was adapted as a crude type of bomb,
which has been used in terrorist attacks.
An Indian based company manufactures it under brand names of
Hevibase, Big Boy and Ventura. The company is one of the
largest manufacturer in India and exports its products to more
than 40 countries.
What is the thing I am talking about?

of clouds" in Sanskrit. Its capital is known as the "Scotland of the
East". English is the official language, the other principal
languages spoken include Khasi, Pnar and Garo. The importance
of X is its possible role in human history through domestication
of rice.
The name of X was also mentioned in Shoojit Sircar’s latest
movie PINK.
Give X?
The X of 1942 was promulgated by the British on 15 August 1942
to suppress the Quit India Movement. Modelled on these lines,
four ordinances were invoked by the central government to deal
with the internal security situation in the country in 1947 which
arouse out of the Partition of India. The Acts have received
criticism from several sections for alleged concerns about human
rights violations in the regions of its enforcement alleged to have
happened.
Politicians like P. Chidambaram and Saifuddin of Congress have
advocated revocation of X, while some like Amarinder Singh are
against its revocation.
The issue was highlighted in a movie based on Shakespeare’s
work and also by a lady who is also known as "Mengoubi”.
Give X?

Trigonometric Survey of India along the meridian arc from southern India

This survey was started by William Lambton in 1806 and it lasted for several
decades.
The Great Trigonometrical Survey was a project which aimed to measure the

successor, Andrew Scott Waugh, in his role as the Surveyor-General of India.
What is X?
Among the many accomplishments of the Survey were the
demarcation of the British territories in India and the
measurement of the height of the Himalayan giants: Everest, K2,
and Kanchenjunga. The Survey had an enormous scientific
impact as well, being responsible for one of the first
accurate measurements of a section of an arc of longitude.

logo. The motto is taken from the Isavasya Upanishad and
means ‘life eternal through learning’.

This fictional character has appeared in a total of 11
novels, 3 written by Robert Ludlum and the other 8
written by Eric Van Lustbader, the first one being
published in 1980 and the latest in 2012. He has also
appeared in 4 films, each bearing his surname in their
titles. Name this Character.
In the preface to a book published in 1998 (it was a compilation
of the first season), he wrote:
“I clearly recall my impressions of it when I first saw it, on a grey
day, sunk in a sofa at my sasural in Surrey. This was way back in
1985. The effect was electric. And this was certainly not for
idiots”.
Name the book and author.
It is an ancient Indian treatise on statecraft, economic policy
and military strategy, written in Sanskrit. The text was
considered lost by colonial era scholars, until a manuscript was
discovered in 1904. A copy of it in Sanskrit, written on palm
leaves, was presented by a Tamil Brahmin from Tanjore to the
newly opened Mysore Oriental Library headed by Benjamin
Lewis Rice. The text was identified by the librarian
R.Shamasastry as the X. Give X.
In 1984 LA Olympics _________ ran a promotion entitled "When the U.S.
Wins, You Win" where customers scratched off a ticket with the name of an
Olympic event on it, and if the U.S. won that event then they would be given
a free item: a ________ sandwich for a gold medal, french fries for a silver
medal, and a Coca-Cola for a bronze medal. The promotion became a near
financial disaster due to the Soviet boycott which led to the U.S. winning far
more Olympic medals than expected.
This promotion was parodied in the The Simpsons episode "Lisa's First Word",
where Krusty Burger runs a similar offer. The promotion was intended to be
rigged so that prizes would only be offered in events dominated by
the Eastern Bloc, but the Soviet-led boycott causes Krusty to personally lose
$44 million. He vehemently promises "to spit in every fiftieth burger," to
which Homer retorts "I like those odds!" Chief Wiggum also exclaims that he
could kiss Carl Lewis, who won four gold medals at the Games.

The X refers to matches between Y and Z, first contested in 1881.
Y play at the Stadium in the Sportcity area, while Z play at an
area nearby Stretford. The teams have met 173 times in all
competitions; Z have won 72 of those, Y have won 50, and the
remaining 51 have been draws. Z also lead in terms of trophies
won, with a total of 64 compared to Y's 18, including a record 20
English league titles, 12 FA Cups and 21 FA Community Shields.
A large number of non-competitive X’s have taken place. The
majority of these occurred during the Second World War, when a
total of 44 matches were played between the teams. In recent
years, non-competitive matches between the teams have
generally been testimonials, such as those for Paul
Lake and Denis Irwin. In 1978, for Colin Bell's testimonial, players
from Y and Z lined up side by side against a combined Liverpool
and Everton team. I’d X.

The X is situated on the northern edge of South Kensington, London,
which holds the proms concerts annually each summer since 1941. It
has a capacity of up to 5,272 seats. The Hall is a registered charity held
in trust for the nation and receives no public or government funding.
Since its opening by Queen Victoria in 1871, the world's leading artists
from many performance genres have appeared on its stage and it has
become one of the UK's most treasured and distinctive buildings. Each
year it hosts more than 390 shows in the main auditorium, including
classical, rock and pop concerts, ballet, opera, film screenings with live
orchestra, sports, award ceremonies, school and community events,
charity performances and banquets.
The Hall was originally supposed to have been called the Central Hall
of Arts and Sciences, but the name was changed to the X of Arts and
Sciences by Queen Victoria upon laying the Hall's foundation stone in
1867, in memory of her husband consort, Prince X who had died six
years earlier. I’d X?
