1. Ad Hoc International Advisory Board of Goodwill Ambassadors (AHIABGA)
Glocalizing the Sustainable Development Goals
July 12, 2020 - Now, more than ever we need to develop, establish, activate, mobilize
and institutionalize interfaith, neighborhood and business collaboratives through the
United Nations Global Compact Local Network infrastructure to “glocalize” the 2020-
2030 Decade of Action on the Sustainable Development Goals locally and globally.
Locally, the Five Points Youth Foundation moved into what was tagged as “Death Alley”
by the Los Angeles Times in 2014, for the community with the decades long highest
rate of murders in the entire county of over 11 million people, and also “ground zero” for
the 1992 “Rodney King Riots” in 2012, only to find the same appalling conditions that
were precipitated by the 1980’s Crack Wars that ravaged South Central Los Angeles
(and other urban cities nationwide). That’s also “ground zero” for our global model to
build Climate-Smart, Safe and Sustainable Communities and Cities
(https://bit.ly/JoinUNGCWorldwide)
What our Foundation has been doing since the outbreak is to coordinate drive-through
food give-aways throughout our community known as a food desert with the highest
rates of obesity, diabetes and comorbidity conditions throughout the 99 Neighborhood
Council Districts.
In addition, we have a walk-up organic food truck vending service in our parking lot an
area where most restaurants have been closed for months, except for drive-thru
service, at 1816 W. Florence Avenue staging area branded “This Place Los Angeles”.
Ambassador Nina Womack (LetsBeWhole.com) and Queen Theresa King
(EradicateTheHate.org) have been conducting daily food giveaways throughout Los
Angeles and surrounding communities hardest hit by unemployment on top of the
Covid-19 restrictions.
2. However, my work as Strategic Alliance Coordinator is not limited to Los Angeles. I
have created, attracted and recruited an Ad Hoc International Advisory Board of
Goodwill Ambassadors (AHIAGBA), such as Dr. Arjumand Zaidi in India, whose tireless
work improves thousands of lives (YouthForHumanRightsIndia.org), but also throughout
the United States and the world (http://bit.ly/20200101Ambassadors).
Another such person is our Global Health Ambassador, Mr. Don Doty, based in
Chicago, Illinois, who is Founder and Executive Director of Georgia Doty
Comprehensive Health (GeorgiaDotyHealth.org) that has devised a COVID 19 –
Education and Community Service Program 2020.
During his recent enforced stay in Nigeria, Shola Agboola he began donating COVID-
19 Relief food packages throughout villages to the widowed elders, orphans, youth and
general population. He went on to launched the SAGA Foundation which had its grand
opening on June 23, 2020 to provide a permanent base for our Ad Hoc International
Advisory Board of Goodwill Ambassadors (AHIAGBA) to continue work after his return
to Canada to focus on four of the SDGs to pre-qualify and register new members of the
United Nations Global Contact worldwide (SagaFoundationInc.org).
Global Media Ambassador Lady Alicia Hamilton, CEO of The Revelation Network
broadcast platform (TRN.tv) and I partnered with Edfu Foundation CEO Sheldon
Williams (EdfuFoundation.org) in support of a online forum to address localizing the
SDGs throughout the African Diaspora during this 2015-2024 United Nations Decade
for People of African Descent in collaboration with the Maori Tribe in New Zealand and
the Universal Hip Hop Museum (UHHM.org).
On Saturday 11th July 2020, Princess Tshepi in collaboration with BMW Club were at
Break-Through Centre for Orphaned and Vulnerable Children in Katlehong near
Johannesburg, South Africa, to distribute Hygiene Packs. #Response Relief- Covid-19
(Aidonetwork.org).
Onika Best, Queen of the Drums representing Barbados, Bermuda and indigenous,
conducted a worldwide drum circle for peace to bring edutainment to stay-at-home
families (MahDahUrf.com).
Ambassador Chaplain James Mercy Obatunmibi and his World Humanitarian
Organization for Peace and Equity (w-hope.org) partnered with SaverAfrica
(SaveraAfrica.org) to conduct online fora addressing gender violence causes and
solutions during and after COVID-19 restrictions.
Ambassador Josephat Moses (CenterForAfricaVolunteers.org) helped distribute
agricultural products to needy communities throughout his area in Kenya.
