Through its Child Healing to Improve
Learning and Development (C.H.I.L.D.)
program, the Wendt Center provides the
full range of holistic mental health services
to children affected by grief, loss, trauma,
and violence.

3.  The Wendt Center's work with children and
teens is guided by a philosophy based on
self-expression. Unlike adults, children and
teenagers do not necessarily prefer to
express their feelings in a verbal manner.
The Wendt Center has found that activities
and playtime are invaluable tools in helping
children and teens come to terms with their
grief. Above all, the Wendt Center remains
committed to listening to the needs of each
child and allowing feelings of grief and loss
to come out in a natural, healthy way.
