8. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

We employ competency-based assessment tools and techniques
to ensure that we execute objective candidate assessments. The
main purpose for this is to ensure that we assess candidates
scientifically.
One approach used is the Position Specification. This document
defines the key performance areas of the position as well as the
minimum requirements of the ideal candidate in terms of
competence (qualifications, skills, experience and personality
profile).
The entire value chain rests upon the accuracy of the Position Specification, based specifically on the
minimum candidate requirements.
Candidates approached are therefore assessed to objectively and scientifically ascertain whether they
are meeting the pre-agreed minimum requirements.
Only candidates that meet the minimum requirements are taken through to the Long List phase.
When these profiles are approved, selected shortlisted candidates are interviewed face-to-face. Best-fit
candidates are thereon presented to the Client.

10. TERMS & CONDITIONS

We work on exclusivity. Our retainer fee installment payments are as follows:
A retainer fee of 30% of the forecasted fee upon the date of execution of the Agreement
Letter and the ‘Start Date’ of the assignment.
A Shortlist fee of 30% upon the submission and approval of the Shortlist Profiles.
A closing fee of 40% upon the date the candidate formally accepts an offer of
employment made by the Company.
In order to assure the quality of our performance, we warrant that:
(a)we will perform the search in compliance with recognized international standards of performance
and professional integrity in administration of the search process described herein; and
(a)if the selected candidate leaves within 3 months from the date of his or her engagement for reasons
outside the Company’s control, except sudden illness or death, Kawas Consulting will reinstate the
search charging out-of pocket expenses only.

Aouni Kawas established Kawas Consulting in
September 2003 following a successful career in sales
and business development. Kawas Consulting has
now become a premier executive search firm
covering the MENA Region. As Managing Partner,
Aouni Kawas Aouni handles the operations, business development
and executive search execution and appointments.
Managing Partner With over a decade of experience in management
consulting and with a track record of placing a
number of C-suite executives in the MENA Region, Mr.
Kawas’ clients include local, regional and
international companies in manufacturing,
telecommunications, contracting, software, industrial
consumables, office supplies, furniture, banking,
insurance, FMCG, and specialist retail.
Lebanese and holder a BS in Marketing from the
Lebanese American University (LAU), Mr. Kawas was
previously a member of the training faculty the
Lebanese Management Association (LMA), and
trainer with the REP office at the American University
of Beirut (AUB). He has designed and directed
courses for the Lebanese American University (LAU)
and other universities in Lebanon.
Aouni speaks English, Arabic and French.

Sandra Haddad joined Kawas Consulting in October
2012 as a Partner; she is managing business
development and search execution.
Prior to joining Kawas Consulting Sandra was a
Consultant and Partner at Korn/Ferry International,
Sandra Haddad the world’s largest Executive Search Firm, overseeing
senior executive management roles across the
Partner Middle East and North Africa region for multinationals
and conglomerates cross various sectors. During her
four-year tenure with Korn/Ferry, Sandra achieved
100% placement rate, with highest number of
independently managed searches in the Middle East
& North Africa region.
She previously spent 8 years in advertising and
marketing with multinationals Grey Worldwide, BAT
and JTI.
Sandra is Lebanese and Cypriot, and holds a BA in
Psychology from the American University of Beirut.
She is also a Certified Coach from the Evolved
Coaching Institute in South Africa, and has attended
the Program for Executive Development at IMD
(International Institute for Management
Development) in Lausanne, Switzerland.
She speaks English, French, Arabic and Greek.

Marie-Josee Youssef
Associate Consultant
Marie-Josee Youssef joined Kawas Consulting in
August 2009 as Associate Consultant, handling the
operations of Executive Search assignments.
Throughout her tenure with Kawas Consulting, Marie-
Josee has worked on various assignments covering
the engineering, contracting, furniture, FMCG,
banking, insurance, software and retail industries.
Marie-Josee is a Lebanese national, and holds a BBA
in Business Administration from the American
University of Beirut (AUB) where she is currently
pursuing her Masters Degree in Human Resources
Management. In addition, she has attended various
Human Resources Management training courses.
She speaks English, French and Arabic.

Ribelle Khalil
Administrative Coordinator
Ribelle Khalil joined Kawas Consulting in January 2011
where she is currently the Administrative Coordinator.
Ribelle handles various tasks including administration,
procurement, accounting, business development
and assists in the prequalification of candidates.
Ribelle was previously in the medical industry, working
with Pharmatec- Pharmaceutical Technologies.
She is of Lebanese nationality. She holds a Bachelor in
Philosophy from the Lebanese University- Faculty of
Letters and Human Sciences, as well as a Human
Resources Management Diploma from Haigazian
University.
Ribelle speaks Arabic, English and French.

Samar Temsah
Administrative Coordinator
Samar Temsah joined Kawas Consulting in July 2012
as an Administrative Coordinator; she handles
candidate-related Executive Search operations.
Having worked on various assignments across the
Middle & North Africa region, Samar has experience
in the FMCG, electronics, construction & engineering,
oil & gas and pharmaceutical industries.
Samar holds dual nationalities with American and
Lebanese citizenships. She has a BA in English
Literature, a Teaching Diploma in Teaching English as
a Secondary Language with Minors in English
Language and in American Studies, from the
American University of Beirut (AUB).
She is fluent in English and Arabic.
