Vascular bundles are important tissue found in flowering plants that transport water and nutrients throughout the plant. They contain xylem tissue which carries water and minerals up from the roots and phloem tissue which transports food made by the leaves to other parts of the plant. Together, xylem and phloem tissues within vascular bundles allow for the circulation of nutrients and water within flowering plants.
