XRec is an XML processing tool that transforms XML documents into PL/SQL record structures and vice versa. It is used by a CRM service provider for General Motors to handle XML needs, loading over 105 million XML records into Oracle databases. XRec simplifies XML access and processing, promotes compile-time checking of XML schemas, and allows customization through plugins to tweak the compiler.
