3. Early 2010, 7Langit has managed to provide ads service in
Blackberry Apps by doing OpenX customization (open
source Ad Platform)
4. By mid year of 2010, RIM started Ad Service
(beta), providing SDK and cooperate with numbers
of Ad Network from all around the World
5. In 2011, RIM changed the SDK platform and
provide features on its WebPortal
6. As a developer sometimes we need extra
flexibility. 7Langit is using API from AdMob in
“Make Your Own BlackBerry Application” platform.
Till 2011, 7Langit has provided Apps that has been
installed by more than 2millions unique BlackBerry
users of Indonesian providers
7. SUMMARY
• Formobile Ad implementation in BlackBerry simply use
BlackBerry Ad Service, one of the benefit is the BlackBerry
feature integration. User targeting is difficult to do, due RIM
centralized infrastructure.
• Verylimited Ad Network that provides API, most of them
provides SDK to be able to offer more features.
• Only few Ad Network provides the service for publisher who
also wants to be advertiser. One of the option is to do Open
Source platform customization.
