A presentation graphics program that allows you to create slideshows.
Allows you to organize, summarize and format your materials, illustrate your presentation with images
or Clip Art, animation, graphics and other multimedia components.

6. Choosing auto layout and using help
Microsoft PowerPoint automatically adjusts the layout if you insert items that don't fit the original layout. For
example, if you use a layout with only one placeholder for content such as a table, and you then insert a picture after
inserting the table, the layout adjusts, adding a placeholder for the picture. If you don't like the new layout, you can
undo it
When PowerPoint changes to a different slide layout the AutoLayout icon will automatically appear next to the
inserted object.
The AutoLayout feature is switched on by default but can be easily removed.
Change your (Tools > AutoCorrect Options)(AutoFormat as you type tab, Automatic layout for inserted objects)

1. On your keyboard, press F1. OR
1. Click the ? Button on the right side of your MS PowerPoint Interface.
2. A dialog box appears
3. Type what you want to ask then click enter.

8. Using Toolbars and Objects or Icons
A. Toolbars or the Ribbon.
B. Objects/Icons - all elements in MS PowerPoint.
You can modify the size, color, texture, and effects of these objects. You can add, move, insert, delete, copy, rotate group or
combine an object with another object.

10. PowerPoint 2013 uses a tabbed
Ribbon system instead of
traditional menus. The Ribbon
contains multiple tabs, each with
several groups of commands.
You will use these tabs to
perform the most common tasks
in PowerPoint.
The red X button located at the
top right of the MS PowerPoint.
Located here is the name of file
and the program used

Located just above the Ribbon,
the Quick Access toolbar lets
you access common commands
no matter which tab is selected.
By default, it includes the Save,
Undo, Repeat, and Start
Presentation commands. You
can add other commands
depending on your preference.

12. Opening, saving and formatting slides
PowerPoint files are called presentations. Whenever you start a new project in PowerPoint, you'll need
to create a new presentation, which can either be blank or from a template. You'll also need to
know how to open an existing presentation.
