1. Introduction and Funding Conditions
      Funding scheme objectives:
          ◦ Support the students to develop research skills
          ◦ Support Students to develop research or implement graduation projects with industrial
             application in partnership with the industrial firms in Jordan
          ◦ Support students in demonstrating prototypes to potential customers

      Eligibility:
           ◦ Jordanian university students in both the bachelors and masters levels

      Funding Scheme approaches: (must indicate which approach you are applying for)
          ◦ Applied Scientific Research: Must have a research partner (university or research center)
             and a university supervisor
          ◦ Industrial application: Must have an industrial partner and a university supervisor

      Conditions to accept the project:
         ◦ Clear and measurable outcomes
         ◦ Technical feasibility of the project
         ◦ Scientific value and quality of the research
         ◦ Industrial firms’ commitment to the project (testing, validation, use, etc.)
         ◦ University supervisor commitment to the project (scientific and technical support)

      Supported Activities:
          ◦ Publishing scientific papers
          ◦ Conducting scientific studies
          ◦ Material and implementation costs
          ◦ Technical and prototype technical and marketing testing (with customers)
          ◦ Transportation to the industrial firms or research site

      Intellectual Property ownership:
          ◦ ASRF does not interfere with the IP ownership (the students, university or industrial
               partners decide about the ownership of the IP)

      Contribution to ASRF and /or the community:
         ◦ The student(s) agrees to provide technical reports and progress of the project at predefined
             intervals (or every 3 or 6 months) based on the funding agreement
         ◦ The students team agree to spend at least 3 hours for each supported month on one or both
             on:
                  sharing the experience with the community (3 hours for each supported month)
                  supporting ASRF activities (3 hours for each supported month)
