Southside ABE - ELL 4
Agenda and Goals
Goals for tonight’s class:
 We will write 5 sentences about what we will do if we
find twenty dollars on the ground.
 We will review the real conditional by discussing
what we learned yesterday and by watching a video.
    (3-2-1)
 We will go over the homework together and answer
    any questions from our homework.
 We will write a chain story with our table groups
    using the real conditional.
 We will learn questions with real conditionals (p.93).
 We will practice speaking and writing about future
    plans (p.94).
We will write 5 sentences about
what we will do if we find $20 on
the ground.
 What will you do if you find $20 on the
  ground?

 If I find $20 on the ground, I will....
We will review the real conditional by
discussing what we learned yesterday
and by watching a video. (3-2-1)

 What do you remember about the real
    conditional?
    – Tell 3 things you learned
    – Give 2 examples of the real conditional
    – What is 1 question you still have about the real
      conditional?
 Review video: http://youtu.be/IM_l1aCxdHM
We will go
over the
homework
together
and answer
any
questions
from our
homework.
We will write a chain story with our
table groups using the real conditional.
 One person will start with the first sentence.
    – Each person will add another part to the story,
      using real conditional.

    – Example: If Mario wakes up early on Saturday, he
will go to Starbucks for coffee. If he goes to
Starbucks for coffee, he will see his friend Anton.
If he sees his friend Anton, they will talk about
sports. If they talk about sports, they will decide to
go to a Twins baseball game. If they decide to go
to a baseball game, Mario will need to get money
      from the bank.
We will learn questions with real
conditionals (p.93).
We will practice speaking and
writing about future plans (p.94).
