The flag of Afghanistan is composed of three equal
vertical bars of black, red, and green.
Black represents the occupation of foreigners, red
represents the blood of freedom fighters, and green
denotes Islam.
In the middle of the flag is a mehrab, an arch in a
mosque, a mender and a pulpit and are enclosed
by wheat.

On the edges of the white stripe there are stylized
in Kufi script writings.

four crescents and a sword.

represent the takbir.
The phrase 'God is Great' is written in green and is
placed in the middle of the white stripe.
There are also three green stars in the stripe.

stripes green,white and red. On the left hand side
of the Kuwait flag there is a black trapezoid.
The green stripe represents the fertility of Arab
nations and the black represents the defeat of
enemies.
The red stands for the blood of the defeated enemy
and white symbolizes honor and purity.

vertical stripe that has a serration or a zigzag made
of five white triangles.
The triangles point to the right side of the flag.

together.

On the left side of the Sudan flag there is a
horizontal green triangle pointing towards the
middle.
The black represents Sudan; in Arabic 'Sudan'
means black. It also represents the black flag of

Mahdist Revolution, late in 19th century.

horizontal stripes red,white black. In the center of
the Egyptian flag is an emblem of the eagle of
Saladin.
The red stripe refers to the period before the 1952
revolution; which brought a group of army officers
to power after deposing King Farouk, the King of
Egypt.

white crescent moon and a five-point star towards
the left side of the flag.
Red is a traditional Islamic color and the crescent
and star are ancient symbols of Islam and are
considered to be signs of good luck.

The flag of Malaysia consists of 14 alternating
horizontal stripes of red and white that run down
the flag, starting with red at the top.
In the top left quarter of the Malaysian flag there is
a blue square. Inside the square sits a yellow
crescent and 14-pointed star.
The 14 stripes and points of the star represent the
13 member states of the Malaysian federation and
the Federal District of Kuala Lumpur.

Islam, which is Morocco's official religion. Red is
also the color of the reigning Moroccan dynasty.

God and the nation.
MEXICO

middle of the Mexican flag and white stripe is
the country's national coat of arms.

snake is depicted on the Mexican coat of arms.
TAJIKISTAN

a yellow/gold crown with seven, five-point stars
over top of it.
The crown and stars symbolize Tajik
sovereignty, the union of workers and the unity
