"Galactic Network" Licklider envision a globally interconnected set of computers
through which everyone could access data nad programs from any site.
ARPAnet was published by Roberts.
1967
Network users could begin to develop applications as the ARPAnet sites
completed implementing NCP.

Organizations wanted to connect with their Local Area Networks (LANs) to
ARPAnet.
NSFnet backbone was published to speed connections.
ARPAnet had been phased out and NSFnet continued to grown.
The National Research and Education Network was established and Worlld Wide Web
(WWW) was released.

Mosaic Web was published.
Netscape was released.
U.S. Federal government gave up its management role int he internet. However, the presidential
administration encourages now to support U>S back bone traffic on the internet.
