Incident:
Food poisoning of a member of the IMF

Crisis:
Broad dimension of fact
It starts as a Class 3 incident:
Confirmed crisis situation. Collecting the
necessary data for a further research.

It goes on as a Class 2 incident:
An early alert.
Proper evaluation time for wider Communication.
Head of the team: Moulavasili Vasiliki
Coordinator: Mouskas Vasileios-Ioannis
Secretary: Mouliou Kleoniki
Spokesperson: Georgiou Marianna
Legal adviser: Afentaki Ioanna
1. Strange incident  Food poisoning of the
   representative of the IMF
2. Convergence of the crisis team
3. Checking all the safety systems
4. Incident control room gathering (Recording all
   the necessary data)
5. Secretariat support
6. Communication with the legal adviser for
   further research.
7. Partitioning powers on the basis of the data
   search.
•   Kleoniki: Collection of the security documents
•   Vasiliki: Phone contact with the company
    headquarters abroad as well as with suppliers.
    Contacting the distribution points for the
    withdrawal of the menu.
•   Vasilis: Carrying out internal audit in the
    company.
•   Ioanna: Search for further information on the legal
    environment of the company and anticipating
    consequences for the company.
•   Marianna: Recipient of all investigations and
    preparation of the contact with the media.
Assessment of the facts
We face a Class III crisis cause we are rushing to
gather information for any possibility.
Anticipating developments : a) We are not responsible
for the food poisoning of the representative of the
 IMF Paul Binder b) We are responsible for this incident
and we are taking all the blame
Worst case scenario  Proof of guilt which will damage
 the prestige and credibility.
Parties involved : a) FOOD CATERING company
b) Hotel “Hoteli” c) Ministry of Finance
Involvement:
a)Food Catering company b) Hotel “Hoteli”
c) Representative of the IMF d) Ministry of Finance
e) Greek government f) Partners
g) Costumers-Consumers

Allies and enemies : We are trying to successfully
 respond to every question posed by the media and
 every request by the Ministry of Finance. At this
moment we want to go well with everybody
involved.
Employees are informed of the fact from the head
of the crisis team.

The legal adviser is in contact with all the relevant
government agencies to find a solution.

Vigilance at all levels and on-going research
information from the media.
The chief of the crisis team informs all employees
 for the situation created by the food poisoning of
the representative of the IMF, Paul Binder.
•   Assessment of threat risk.
•   Is there an imminent danger for the
    customers/consumers, employees of the
    company?
•   There are no time limits for motivation?
•   Contacting or not the media?
•   Informing the Authorities( Ministry of
    Finance)
•   Is there a social unrest?
   Convergence and coordination crisis team
    whose main business is to contact the
    spokesperson to the media.
   Official definition communication steps.
   Press Releases for the media depending on the
    outcome of events.
   Letters to the competent authorities.
   Check the message transmitted around the
    social-political-economic context.
   Data collection for the Media (which means
    which media we are addressing and how).
   Preparing possible questions and answers to
    the media.
