- Mobile usage is growing rapidly across Europe, with over 750 million smartphone users. Nearly everyone owns a mobile.
- Smartphone adoption is increasing significantly in several European countries like the UK, Germany, France, and Italy. Europeans spend an average of 1 hour per day on mobile web browsing.
- Mobile advertising spending is also growing, doubling from 2007 to 2008 in the UK. However, roaming fees remain high across Europe.
- Mobile search traffic is increasing as more users search from their phones. While Google dominates mobile search, opportunities exist for other search engines to optimize for this
