2. INTRODUCTION
 In this task I am going to be researching the guidelines for a 15 &
18 rated film. I have to highlight why this information is helpful
when identifying a target audience and how I am going to use it.

3. 15 CERTIFICATE
 Drugs can be used but the
use is not promoted and
won’t use discriminating
language.
 Strong language will be used
and nudity can be allowed.
 Anyone below the age is not
suitable to watch this film i.e.
Cinema or DVD.
 Sex can be shown and
portrayed with out detail and

allowed.
 Strong violence is also
allowed with lots of
detail/injury but with out gory
scenes.

 Anyone below the age of 18

can not view the movie i.e.
Cinema or DVD.

 There could be an exception

5. CONCLUSION
 By doing this task I was able to come to the conclusion that the
rating I will be choosing is 15 as we want teenagers to have the
experience of watching this although there will be violence and
swear words etc. I feel that its not in the category of a 18 rating for
e.g. no gruesome scenes will be shown so feel its suitable. This
task has allowed me to see what I can and can not do for each
certificate and also how I can even identify my target audience
making a plot etc. that appeals to them and know the kind of age
interested.
