Designed Grab-A-Cab and Quations, two educational games published for the Apple II. Designed PLANalyst, a tool for developing lesson plans. Developed the WebQuest model (http://webquest.org) in 1995. Created QuestGarden (http://questgarden.com), a web application and hosting service for teachers with over 5000 active members. International experience as a keynote speaker on the design of learning environments. Specialties: Design of learning environments; inventor of the WebQuest model for constructivist learning from the web; learning analytics research in higher education; research on motivation, especially as applied to the design of educational simulations and games.
