   Part of the Lahti Region Educational
    Consortium, which is an educational organization
    established by the city of Lahti and 13 municipalities
    surrounding it.

   The consortium comprises of Salpaus Further
    Education, Lahti Polytechnic and Lahti Employment
    and Rehabilitation of the disabled.

   Every year around 20 000 students of which around
    13 000 in adult education

   Around 850 employees
   Part of the Salpaus Further Education

   Specializes in international co-operation,
    international communication and cross-
    cultural aspects

   Offers language training in 14 different
    languages
   Migrant training includes:
    ◦ Preparatory training for young adults, who want to
      embark an vocational training
    ◦ Integrational training for adult migrants
    ◦ Workshop training
    ◦ Preparatory training for adults, who want to apply
      for an apprenticeship
    ◦ Integration training / Finnish language courses for
      working adults (evening courses)


   15 Finnish teachers and 5 counseling
    teachers in migrant training
