Hinduism believes that mankind's main problem is metaphysical rather than moral, having forgotten our true nature as part of an Infinite Consciousness. We must transcend rational thinking and merge with this Infinite state through practices like yoga. The caste system and roles like sati for widows are obligatory. Suffering is deserved through karma from past lives, so we have no moral duty to help others. Monism requires suspending reason to achieve oneness with the divine, and Hindu scriptures and cosmology are considered eternal despite scientific evidence.
