Life reflecting the story
This story can reflect or impact someone’s life in many ways. One way that this
story could impact someone’s life is that having babies when you are not in the financial
stage is probably not the best idea. Also when it comes to relationships from mother to
son or even father to son it is important to have a strong connection with them because
they are your flesh and blood you will be with them until you are old enough to live on
your own. This story could also impact your life with a family member leaving to go to
war like the father did when he had to fight in world war one. Enjoy the time you have
with your loved ones because life is way to short to argue about stuff and if you just get
over whatever it is your arguing about then you can enjoy each others company before
they go to war.
Another thing that impacts a person’s life in this story is when Larry gets ignored
by his dad and pays more attention to the new baby Sonny comes along and Larry feels
horrible and feels that his dad doesn’t like him anymore and only wants Sonny for a son
and not Larry. This can impacts someone’s life in a lot of ways like a relationship could
be ruined, the son could run away, or even worst he or she could think that life isn’t good
anymore and commit suicide. But over time the father and son had a good relationship
and the mother and son always had a good relationship which resulted in the mother
being the center of attention throughout the story “My Oedipus Complex”.
