more about a particular literacy / student engagement strategy that affects students’
reading and/or writing. The objective of this lesson is to enhance both your research and
expository writing skills, further your knowledge of teaching students to read, and gain
insight on evidence-based instructional/literacy strategies that you may incorporate into
your future classroom in order to teach all students to read regardless of their reading level
– after all, everyone can be successful!The research paper must:*Include details about your
chosen topic, which may include a detailed description of the strategy, how it is
incorporated in the classroom, the effectiveness, how it promotes student engagement,
etc.*Follow APA guidelines – title page, running head, in-text citations, Works Cited page. I
also recommend incorporating headings within the paper.*3-5 pages of text, a title page,
and a Works Cited pageThe candidate must include information obtained from:*Two
sources (print or online)*A teacher interview (this can be from the teacher interview
assignment conducted earlier in the term, your Cooperating Teacher, or any other teacher)*
You may include information from at least one of the following as well: one of the webinars
(links provided below) and/OR clinical observations conducted (does not necessarily have
to be during this term) that connect to your chosen topic*ALL sources must be cited
