These items are meant to be helpful reminders. These are things to consider when
suspending a student. They may not all apply for each situation but can be a guide to
ensure that process and procedure is followed. It may also be helpful to copy and attach
certain documentation to help in your discipline process, especially if the issue leads to
long-term suspensions, expulsion or if the discipline is for a repeat offense such as
fighting. Please review this list with each case to ensure nothing is missing. It may also
be helpful to assign roles/duties/responsibilities to each piece to ensure nothing is missed
at the building level.
