26.2-mile Bank of America Chicago Marathon
•The Cellmates on the Run is a running group that brings people
together to achieve a common goal: to raise awareness in the fight of
an aggressively growing epidemic - DIABETES.
•Hope to raise approximately $500,000 for diabetes research
•5 runners were formerly dependent on insulin, but have had an islet
cell transplant and now live diabetes free

18.  ESU Tester Kit Building
- EWH has been granted access to
the newly renovated BioE lab – SEL
4018
- Continue from last semester
 What are we building?
 Electro-surgery unit testers. (These
typically cost $2,000, but EWH has
created a tester that costs 18$
each)
 Electro-surgery units are used to
create incisions via the use of high
frequency electric current.

 When: Thursday Sept. 20th 4-6pm
 - 2 hours of kit building, drop in any time!
 - We will have updates on what is planned
for this semester at 5pm
 What: 50 ESU testers kits
 – We are half way through from last
semester
