Front - Gather
1. Sew a gathering stitch on
the marked line. A single
basting stitch works great.
2. Pull the gathering stitch to
equal half the length of the
top edge.
Front - Mark
1. Mark a dot in the center of
the shirt front 1 1/2” from
the top edge.
2. Draw two lines connecting
the dot to the top corners.
3. Make note of the length of
the top edge.
Front - Strap
1. Center the strap on top of
the gathering stitch and pin
in place.
2. Stitch the strap to the shirt,
close to the edges.

smooth shirt flat.
2. With a ruler, draw a line
connecting the bottom
corner to the point where
the top meets the front.
Repeat for other side.

these lines. Cut a 1/2” seam
allowance.
