5. However, in today’s world, divorce statistics are up, more children are being raised by single parents, and sometimes left to fend for themselves. The idea of the warm home in which good values are fostered is being annihilated.

7. Families Worldwide FWW was first established in 1972 as The Cottage Program International. Frist created to help families who had drug and other serious problems. “After a national search, The Families in Focus Program (as this family-strengthening program was then called) was selected as one of the top 25 programs for parenting and family management in the United States. It also became the "United Nations Handbook Choice" in 1994, the UN Year of the Family. The program has enriched over 30,000 families in various countries throughout the world.” In 1996 Brad Stone and Mark Strong became the Chairman and C.E.O. “Mr. Stone and Mr. Strong changed the name of the organization to Families Worldwide to better reflect the universal application of the family-strengthening work.”

These two foundation when working together could help many families, novice or experienced, to think of the ways their family can have joy.

In essence, Families Worldwide teaches principles which promote critical thinking. By funding Families Worldwide, not only will families benefit, but the community as a whole. The future is now. The future lies in what we do with the world’s families.
18. Critical Thinking The Solutions for Families program involves critical thinking by encouraging families to evaluate their own problems. Through critical thinking they find ways to solve their problems to bring more harmony in their family circle. This program uses critical thinking by inviting families to transform their thinking about how they act and treat each other on a daily basis.
19. Critical Action The process they go through in order to enhance family harmony helps them to utilize those same skills and principles in everyday life; to influence the community around them. Through transforming their old habits, they are able to understand one another and be vigilant at doing what is right.
