1. Mrs. Penny Valle joined Etowah High as an Assistant Principal for
our 2012-13 school year. In addition to leading the Special Educa-
tion and Math departments, she oversees the Technology/BYLD and
Attendance Committees. This school year, she will facilitate the new
STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Committee
to offer more career pathways and pursue Georgia High School STEM
Certification. Her background and experience in Technology, Mathe-
matics, Special Education Administration, and as Graduation Specialist
have made her a remarkable fit for Eagle Mountain.
Mrs. Valle received her Bachelor’s degree in Management Information
Systems from the University of Georgia. She worked as a computer
analyst, manager and consultant for several years. Later, she left the
corporate world to return to school and become a teacher. Mrs. Valle
received a Masters of Education and an Educational Specialist degree
from the University of West Georgia. Then in 2007, she completed her
Educational Leadership Certification from Kennesaw State University.
Additionally, she has Gifted and ESOL endorsements and speaks Span-
ish.
Originally from Holly Springs, Mrs. Valle continues to live, work, and
serve in her home county. She is involved in community service and she
teaches swimming lessons during the summer weeks. Her favorite quote
is, “A hundred years from now it may not matter what my bank account
was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove (Prius)… but
the world may be different because I was important in the life of a
child.”
