One Table Two Chairs is a standardized set design in traditional Chinese theatre where different arrangements symbolize different scenes. Danny Yung has adopted this design since 1997 as a platform to initiate creative cross-regional, cross-discipline and cross-cultural dialogue and collaboration through commissioning over 100 contemporary stage works. The document discusses Yung's Cultural Exchange Project meeting in Sweden and lists the collaborating artists from various countries and backgrounds that have participated in the One Table Two Chairs project since 1997.
9. Table put lengthwise with one chair at one side and another
on top (高台), symbolizes a tall platform or a mountain.
10. Table with a chair at both sides aligned in a straight line,
symbolizes a bridge or a hill.
11. One Table Two Chairs has been adopted by Danny Yung
since 1997 as a platform…
12. … to initiate creative cross-region, cross-discipline and cross-
cultural dialogue, negotiation, critique and collaboration.
13. The project has commissioned more than 100 20-minute
contemporary stage works since its inception.
