FABRICATION OF PARALLEL CAR PARKING USING 5TH WHEEL
(PNEUMATIC)
ABSTRACT
In our project is consisting of steering, Chain drive, pneumatic
cylinder, DC valve and fifth wheel. Vehicle steering is controlled by Chain
drive. Here pneumatic cylinder set up is used to move up and down the
fifth wheel whenever required. If pneumatic cylinder actuates to move the
piston rod down wards so that the coupled fifth wheel also land on the
ground to lift and turn the vehicle. The movement of piston rod is
controlled through DC valve. The fifth wheel or parking wheel consists of
three wheels. The centre wheel run with help of motor

In This Project Title Of “Design And Fabrication Of Pneumatic four Wheel
Jack” We Are Using Compressed Air To Lift The Vehicle For Changing The

The Air Source Is Taken From The Engine Compressor Easy To Operate.No
Need To Carry The Jack With Us.The Pneumatic Jack Is Fitted In The Vehicle

DESIGN AND FABRICATION OF PNEUMATIC SHEET METAL
CUTTING MACHINE
ABSTRACT
To design and fabricate pneumatic based sheet metal cutting machine to be
used for the cut the sheet metal of minimum thickness without manual hard
work instead we use pneumatic control system to operate the cutting
machine accurately. This machine can also be installed in the lab for the
experiment and demonstration to engineering students. Thereby gaining the
hand sum experience and knowledge on how to design and fabricate the
mechanical system.
DESIGN AND FABRICATION OF AUTO ROLL PUNCHING
MACHINE USING GENEVA MECHANISM
ABSTRACT
In this auto roll punching machine consists of two sections.One
sections is automatic metal sheet feeding mechanism and the second
section is conversion of rotary motion into linear reciprocating motion of
punching tool . The first section consists of geneva wheel disc keyed with
a shaft at one end and the other end is connected with chain sprocket
wheel. This geneva wheel shaft is supported on two plummer block
bearings. This sprocket wheel transmit the rotary motion from the geneva
wheel to the metal sheet feeding rollers through a chain drive. Hence
when the geneva wheel is rotated , the metal sheet also moved for
punching operation.
DESIGN AND FABRICATION OF AUTOMATIC DOUBLE
AXIS WELDING MACHINE
ABSTRACT
The main aim of project is to fabricate the rack and pinion operated
welding robot. Welding is a fabrication process that joins materials, usually
metals or thermoplastics. This project mainly fabricate for GAS and TIC
welding.
The Double Axis Welding Machine consists of motor, rack and
pinion. The motor is used to rotate the rack and pinion. A rack and pinion is
a type of linear actuator that comprises a air of gears which convert
rotational motion into linear motion. A circular gear called "the pinion"
engages teeth on a linear "gear" bar called "the rack"; rotational motion
applied to the pinion causes the rack to move relative to the pinion,
thereby translating the rotational motion of the pinion into linear motion.
This motor controls the direction of rack and pinion. This motor is
rotateting the pinion to forward and return position. At the middle of rack
the welding rod is fixed. This welding rod makes forward motion and
reverse motion in order to make or weld the two different plates.
The welding rod is otherwise known as electrode which is connected
to the power supply terminals. The work piece also connected to the power
supply. This setup requires a heavy electrical arrangement to make the
welding.
DESIGN AND FABRICATION OF DOUBLE SIDE POWER HACK SAW
USING SCOTCH YOKE MECHANISM
ABSTRACT
Aim of this project “’ DESIGN AND FABRICATION OF DOUBLE
SIDE POWER HACK SAW USING SCOTCH YOKE MECHANISM”
to cut the material in double side by using scotch yoke Mechanism. The
Scotch and yoke (also known as slotted link mechanism) is a reciprocating
motion mechanism, converting the linear motion of a slider into rotational
motion, or vice versa. The piston or other reciprocating part is directly
coupled to a sliding yoke with a slot that engages a pin on the rotating part.
The location of the piston versus time is a sine wave of constant amplitude
and constant frequency given a constant rotational speed. The scotch and
yoke mechanism is connected to power hacksaw machine.
DESIGN & FABRICATION OF PNEUMATIC CRANE
ABSTRACT
Simulation of the PNEUMATIC CRANE for work support was
developed to reduce the work load of the operator using Pneumatic cylinders
with air compressor. These pneumatic cylinders are being operated using
directional control valves. It has a pivot joint for lifting arm and a crane
hook with a connecting chain. A rope is being connected from the pivot of
the arm to the lifting area to arrest the vibrations produced during lifting of
weights. These cranes are easily portable with movable wheels on the
bottom of the fixture. Also, it minimizes the usage of motors, pulleys and
ropes, which causes damage due to failure of ropes during weight lifting in
industries.
PNEUMATICALLY OPERATED HYDRAULIC AND PNEUMATIC
BRAKING SYSTEM IN AUTOMOTIVE
Abstract
The aim is to design and develop a control system based an fully mechanically dual
(hydraulic and pneumatic) braking system in single liver is called
“PNEUMATICALLY OPERATED HYDRAULIC AND PNEUMATIC BRAKING
SYSTEM IN AUTOMOTIVE”
The main aim of this project to reduce the work loads to the driver so that to
minimize the accident.
DESIGN AND FABRICATION OF PNEUMATIC AUTO FEED DRILLING MACHINE
ABSTRACT
In small-scale industries and automobile maintenance shops, there are frequent
needs of tightening and loosening of screws, drilling, boring, grinding machine. Huge
and complicated designed parts cannot be machined with the help of an ordinary
machine and further for every operation separate machine is required therefore
increasing the number of machines required and increasing the area required for them
to be accommodated and hence overall initial cost required is increased.
In a single machine all the above specified operation can be carried out, i.e., after
drilling, the drill head is removed from the barrel key and the required tools like grinding
wheels, boring tool etc., can be attached, and the operation can be performed.
By the application of pneumatics, the pneumatic cylinder with piston which is operated
by an air compressor will give the successive action to operate this machine. By this we
can achieve our industrial requirements.
MOVABLE ROAD BARRIER VEHICLE IN SIMPLE MODEL for Road Traffic
ABSTRACT
The objective of the project is to design and Fabricate a MOVABLE ROAD
BARRIER VEHICLE with the intention of suitable operations in metro
Politian such as Traffic tidal. The maximum weight that can be carried is
calculated and provided with the barrier for safe operation.
Moveable Barrier conveyor system used to carry the barrier for Temporary
(Construction) installations.
The system allows better phasing of road works and more intensive construction as
a result of more construction space being available, thus improving productivity
and better utilization of manpower and plant.
HYDRAULIC PRESS FOR SHEET METAL FOR
INDUSTRIES
ABSTRACT
The hydraulic press is one of the oldest of the basic machine tools. In
its modern form, is well adapted to presswork ranging from coining jewelry
to forging aircraft parts. Modern hydraulic presses are, in some cases, better
suited to applications where the mechanical press has been traditionally
more popular. New fast acting valves, electrical components, and more
efficient hydraulic circuits have enhanced the performance capability of
hydraulic presses.
We will learn the working of the Hydraulic press, in detail. While
manufacturing, we will be able to go through all the processes that are
involved in fabricating such a machine from manufacturing of the Press
Body to the Hydraulic Power Pack, which will provide us with a deep
insight into the subject and enable us to broaden our acumen towards the
production side of engineering.
DESIGN AND FABRICATION OF PNEUMATIC PUNCHING AND
RIVETING MACHINE
ABSTRACT
The pneumatic system has gained a large amount of importance in last few
decades. This importance is due to its accuracy and cost. This
convenience in operating the pneumatic system has made us to design
and fabricate this unit as our project. This unit, as we hope that it can be
operated easily with semi skilled operators.
The pneumatic press tool has an advantage of working in low pressure,
that is even a pressure of 6 bar is enough for operating the unit. The
pressurized air passing through the tubes to the cylinder, forces the
piston out whose power through the linkage is transmitted to the
punch. The work piece thus got is for required dimensions and the
piece can be collected through the land clearance provided in the die.
The die used in this is fixed such that the die of required shape can
be used according to the requirement. This enables us to use
different type punch dies resulting in a wide range of products.
Different types of punch as requirement can be thus got. According to
the work material the operating pressure can be varied.
PNEUMATIC DRILL JIG
ABSTRACT
This project work deals with the Design And Fabrication Of Pneumatic Drill
Jig. This Pneumatic Drill Jig shows reduction in the labor time, machining
time, etc. This type of Jig is used for mass production for motor cover,
bearing cap and other mechanical and automobile equipment’s. This
pneumatic drill jig is provided with pneumatic clamping arrangement. This
type of clamping arrangement saves the setting time, marking time,
punching time etc. When compressed air is taken from a convenient medium
to provide pope clamping force and good gripping to the component. As the
quantity to produce is large the proposed pneumatic drill jig fulfills the mass
production requirement in the shop. Clamping can be done by releasing the
pressured air using valves.
DESIGN AND FABRICATION OF POWER HACK SAW With Pumping
System USING SCOTCH YOKE MECHANISM
ABSTRACT
Aim of this project “’ DESIGN AND FABRICATION OF POWER HACK
SAW with pumping system USING SCOTCH YOKE MECHANISM”
to cut the material in one side and pumping of coolant in other side by using
scotch yoke Mechanism. The Scotch and yoke (also known as slotted link

FOUR MODE OPERATIONS FOR AUTOMOBILE
STEERING
ABSTRACT
Here we have fabricated the four wheels steering with three mode
operation. The main aim of this project is to steer the vehicle according to
the requirement. The four wheel steering is more required in critical roads
and in desert roads. In this project we implement three steering modes in a
single vehicle and the modes can be changed as needed. In this project we
implement three steering modes in a single vehicle and the modes can be
changed as needed. We are controlled the three mode steering in chain
drive and also find the vehicle aligned as soon as possible
DESIGN AND FABRICATION OF MOTORIZED SCREW JACK
FOR A FOUR WHEELER
ABSTRACT
With the increasing levels of technology, the efforts being put to produce any
kind of work has been continuously decreasing. The efforts required in achieving
the desired output can be effectively and economically be decreased by the
implementation of better designs.
Power screws are used to convert rotary motion into translatory motion. A screw
jack is an example of a power screw in which a small force applied in a horizontal
plane is used to raise or lower a large load. The principle on which it works is
similar to that of an inclined plane. The mechanical advantage of a screw jack is
the ratio of the load applied to the effort applied. The screw jack is operated by
turning a lead screw. The height of the jack is adjusted by turning a lead screw
and this adjustment can be done either manually or by integrating an electric
motor.
In this project, an electric motor will be integrated with the screw jack and the
electricity needed for the operation will be taken from the battery of the
vehicle and thereby the mechanical advantage will be increased.
DESIGN AND FABRICATION OF ROLLER BENDING MACHINE
ABSTRACT
A roll-bending process that minimizes the flat areas on the leading and
Trailing ends of formed plates will produce more accur at and easier
assemble Final shapes. There are several methods of minimizing flat
areas, but they are Costly or difficult to apply for thick plates. This study
proposes a new, simple approach that reduces these flat areas. This
approach includes moving the bottom roll slightly along the feeding
direction and adjusting the bottom roll location. Simulations were validated
by experiments run on an instrumented roll-bending machine. The FE
results indicate that this new approach not only minimizes the flat areas but
also reduces the forming forces.
DESIGN AND FABRICATION OF CAN CRUSHER
ABSTRACT
The study of manufacturing was very important in order to carried out this
project to ensure that student understand on what are needs to do. This
project is about designingand fabricating the Can Crusher to helps people
easy to crush the Aluminium,tin andsoda cans. This project involves the
process of designing the crusher usingconsidering forces and ergonomic
factor for people to use. After the design has complete,it was transformed to
its real product where the design is used for guideline. Theseprojects also
require ensuring the safety for indeed of publishing. Methods and
processinvolve in this project for instance joining using bending, welding,
drilling, and cuttingprocess. This project is mainly about generating a new
concept ofCan Crusher thatwould make easier to bring anywhere and easier
to crush the tin. After all process hadbeen done, this crusher may help us to
understand the fabrication and designing processthat involve in this
project.Even though there are many types ofthe can crusher machine in the
market, the completion of this new model providesamore practical usage.
MECHANICAL FORKLIFT USING REDUCTION GEAR MECHANISM
ABSTRACT
The main objective in the project which we are going to implement the
reduction gear mechanism to lift up the object with lower speed .The forklift is
operated by using motorized screw jack. To lower the speed and increase the
torque we are using cluster gear mechanism. Now days there are several types
of forklifts are used to handling heavy materials like containers, trolley. Some of
the types available in market are hand pallet truck, walkie low lift truck, etc... In
this project we are implementing mechanical fork lift. The concept behind this is
motorized screw jack, for this we are manufacturing two motorized screw jack for
two forks because not to complex in the manufacturing and to assemble. In here
we are introducing reduction gear mechanism to reduce the speed from motor to
screw jack for the reduction gear mechanism cluster gears are being used. Our
project is preferable to be used in small scale industries as it is not possible to
use hydraulic forklift which has high investment cost. The advantage of this
project is there is no leakage of fluids which takes place in hydraulic and
pneumatic systems.
Here the solid model of FORK was converted into Finite Element model.
This paper reports Comparative static structural analysis of FORK structure
can be find out.
PENDULUM OPERATED WATER PUMP
ABSTRACT
The aim of our project is to produce a clean source of energy with easy working
mechanism. We use the oscillation motion of a pendulum to produce the power.
Our project idea is to pump out water using pendulum motion which replaces the
hand lever in the hand pump. A frame acts as the support for both pendulum
and hand pump. At one end of the frame pendulum is hanged and at the other
end hand pump is placed. The lever is designed in such a way that it converts
the oscillating motion of the pendulum into reciprocating motion for pumping out
water.
Hence when the pendulum is oscillated the motion of pendulum causes
pumping out of water and continuous amount of water is being pumped out over
a period of time (i.e.) for a single push of pendulum we get 4-5 oscillations where
steady flow of water is produced. This source of energy also clean and does not
cause any pollution to environment. This eco friendly nature also adds up to its
advantages. Therefore this method is easier in handling and working, eco
friendly in nature, greater output compared with conventional hand pump and
also human effort is very less.
DESIGN AND FABRICATION OF A SELF-CLOSING SAVONIUS WIND
TURBINE
ABSTRACT
 Mechanism is similar to that of a porter governor with a weight attached to the
central axis.
 Arms are attached to the blades and connects them to the central load
 Centrifugal force pushes the turbine blades outwards at higher wind speeds thus
reducing the rotational speed of turbine
 Limits the speed of rotation of the turbine as the wind speed reaches dangerous
limits
 Low start up speed: generates power at low wind speeds
 Constant power output: even at high wind speeds as it always faces into the
wind.
 Independent: as there is no electronic steering system, no power supply is
needed, making it suitable for installation in remote areas. (Other turbine
systems need up to 80% of their power to operate their electronics.)
 Durable: no gearbox means easy maintenance and no expensive parts.
 Easy to maintain: even by semi-skilled engineers.
 Virtually silent: as the blades work with the wind, rather than cut through it.
DESIGN AND FABRICATION OF POWER GENERATION THROUGH SHOCK
ABSORBER WITH BUCKLING ANALYSIS OF SHOCK ABSORBER
ABSTRACT
An electromagnetic linear generator and regenerative electromagnetic
shock absorber is disclosed which converts variable frequency, repetitive
intermittent linear displacement motion to useful electrical power. The innovative
device provides for superposition of radial components of the magnetic flux
density within a coil winding array. Due to the vector superposition of the
magnetic field and magnetic flux from a plurality of magnets, a nearly four-fold
increase in magnetic flux density is achieved over conventional electromagnetic
generator designs with a potential sixteen-fold increase in power generating
capacity. As a regenerative shock absorber, the disclose device is capable of
converting parasitic displacement motion and vibration encountered under
normal urban driving condition to a useful electrical energy for powering vehicles
and accessories or charging batteries in electric and fossil fuel powered vehicles.
The disclosed device is capable of high power generation capacity and energy
conversion efficiency with minimal weight penalty for improved fuel efficiency.
EFFECT OF WELDING PARAMETERS (HEAT INPUT)ON MECHANICAL
BEHAVIOR AND MICROSTRUCTURE OF SUBMERGED ARC WELDED HSLA
STEEL JOINTS
Abstract
• The Heat Input has a great influence on the weldments properties.
• The effect of heat controlled by welding current, voltage and welding speed on
the microstructure and mechanical behaviour tensile properties ,hardness and
toughness of the Carbon steel, Grade IS 2062 or St 55W weldments produced
by submerged arc welding
• The saw process was used for welding of 12mm AND 16 mm Carbon steel
(Grade IS 2062 or St 55W )steel plates.
• The weld joints were prepared by varying the weld current 270-330A
• By varying the speed 850-1100mm/mins
• The increase in the heat input affects the proportions of different micro
constitution both in the weld metal and heat affected zone.
• It is observed that the tensile strength (uts,ys),toughness and hardness
decreases with increase in heat input on other hand % of elongation,5 reduction
in area increases
• The hardness has been found to vary from the base metal to weld line and peak
harness was found in the HAZ.
• The hardness of the weld metal was largely uniform

DESIGN AND FABRICATION OF PNEUMATIC SHEET METAL CUTTING MACHINE ABSTRACT To design and fabricate pneumatic based sheet metal cutting machine to be used for the cut the sheet metal of minimum thickness without manual hard work instead we use pneumatic control system to operate the cutting machine accurately. This machine can also be installed in the lab for the experiment and demonstration to engineering students. Thereby gaining the hand sum experience and knowledge on how to design and fabricate the mechanical system. DESIGN AND FABRICATION OF AUTO ROLL PUNCHING MACHINE USING GENEVA MECHANISM ABSTRACT In this auto roll punching machine consists of two sections.One sections is automatic metal sheet feeding mechanism and the second section is conversion of rotary motion into linear reciprocating motion of punching tool . The first section consists of geneva wheel disc keyed with a shaft at one end and the other end is connected with chain sprocket wheel. This geneva wheel shaft is supported on two plummer block bearings. This sprocket wheel transmit the rotary motion from the geneva wheel to the metal sheet feeding rollers through a chain drive. Hence when the geneva wheel is rotated , the metal sheet also moved for punching operation.
  • 4. DESIGN AND FABRICATION OF AUTOMATIC DOUBLE AXIS WELDING MACHINE ABSTRACT The main aim of project is to fabricate the rack and pinion operated welding robot. Welding is a fabrication process that joins materials, usually metals or thermoplastics. This project mainly fabricate for GAS and TIC welding. The Double Axis Welding Machine consists of motor, rack and pinion. The motor is used to rotate the rack and pinion. A rack and pinion is a type of linear actuator that comprises a air of gears which convert rotational motion into linear motion. A circular gear called "the pinion" engages teeth on a linear "gear" bar called "the rack"; rotational motion applied to the pinion causes the rack to move relative to the pinion, thereby translating the rotational motion of the pinion into linear motion. This motor controls the direction of rack and pinion. This motor is rotateting the pinion to forward and return position. At the middle of rack the welding rod is fixed. This welding rod makes forward motion and reverse motion in order to make or weld the two different plates. The welding rod is otherwise known as electrode which is connected to the power supply terminals. The work piece also connected to the power supply. This setup requires a heavy electrical arrangement to make the welding.

DESIGN AND FABRICATION OF DOUBLE SIDE POWER HACK SAW USING SCOTCH YOKE MECHANISM ABSTRACT Aim of this project “’ DESIGN AND FABRICATION OF DOUBLE SIDE POWER HACK SAW USING SCOTCH YOKE MECHANISM” to cut the material in double side by using scotch yoke Mechanism. The Scotch and yoke (also known as slotted link mechanism) is a reciprocating motion mechanism, converting the linear motion of a slider into rotational motion, or vice versa. The piston or other reciprocating part is directly coupled to a sliding yoke with a slot that engages a pin on the rotating part. The location of the piston versus time is a sine wave of constant amplitude and constant frequency given a constant rotational speed. The scotch and yoke mechanism is connected to power hacksaw machine.

DESIGN & FABRICATION OF PNEUMATIC CRANE ABSTRACT Simulation of the PNEUMATIC CRANE for work support was developed to reduce the work load of the operator using Pneumatic cylinders with air compressor. These pneumatic cylinders are being operated using directional control valves. It has a pivot joint for lifting arm and a crane hook with a connecting chain. A rope is being connected from the pivot of the arm to the lifting area to arrest the vibrations produced during lifting of weights. These cranes are easily portable with movable wheels on the bottom of the fixture. Also, it minimizes the usage of motors, pulleys and ropes, which causes damage due to failure of ropes during weight lifting in industries.

DESIGN AND FABRICATION OF PNEUMATIC AUTO FEED DRILLING MACHINE ABSTRACT In small-scale industries and automobile maintenance shops, there are frequent needs of tightening and loosening of screws, drilling, boring, grinding machine. Huge and complicated designed parts cannot be machined with the help of an ordinary machine and further for every operation separate machine is required therefore increasing the number of machines required and increasing the area required for them to be accommodated and hence overall initial cost required is increased. In a single machine all the above specified operation can be carried out, i.e., after drilling, the drill head is removed from the barrel key and the required tools like grinding wheels, boring tool etc., can be attached, and the operation can be performed. By the application of pneumatics, the pneumatic cylinder with piston which is operated by an air compressor will give the successive action to operate this machine. By this we can achieve our industrial requirements.

Moveable Barrier conveyor system used to carry the barrier for Temporary (Construction) installations. The system allows better phasing of road works and more intensive construction as a result of more construction space being available, thus improving productivity and better utilization of manpower and plant.

In its modern form, is well adapted to presswork ranging from coining jewelry to forging aircraft parts. Modern hydraulic presses are, in some cases, better suited to applications where the mechanical press has been traditionally more popular. New fast acting valves, electrical components, and more efficient hydraulic circuits have enhanced the performance capability of hydraulic presses. We will learn the working of the Hydraulic press, in detail. While manufacturing, we will be able to go through all the processes that are involved in fabricating such a machine from manufacturing of the Press Body to the Hydraulic Power Pack, which will provide us with a deep insight into the subject and enable us to broaden our acumen towards the production side of engineering.   • 11. ABSTRACT The pneumatic system has gained a large amount of importance in last few decades. This importance is due to its accuracy and cost. This convenience in operating the pneumatic system has made us to design and fabricate this unit as our project. This unit, as we hope that it can be operated easily with semi skilled operators. The pneumatic press tool has an advantage of working in low pressure, that is even a pressure of 6 bar is enough for operating the unit. The pressurized air passing through the tubes to the cylinder, forces the piston out whose power through the linkage is transmitted to the punch. The work piece thus got is for required dimensions and the piece can be collected through the land clearance provided in the die. The die used in this is fixed such that the die of required shape can be used according to the requirement. This enables us to use different type punch dies resulting in a wide range of products. Different types of punch as requirement can be thus got. According to the work material the operating pressure can be varied. PNEUMATIC DRILL JIG
  • 12. ABSTRACT This project work deals with the Design And Fabrication Of Pneumatic Drill Jig. This Pneumatic Drill Jig shows reduction in the labor time, machining time, etc. This type of Jig is used for mass production for motor cover, bearing cap and other mechanical and automobile equipment’s. This pneumatic drill jig is provided with pneumatic clamping arrangement. This type of clamping arrangement saves the setting time, marking time, punching time etc. When compressed air is taken from a convenient medium to provide pope clamping force and good gripping to the component. As the quantity to produce is large the proposed pneumatic drill jig fulfills the mass production requirement in the shop. Clamping can be done by releasing the pressured air using valves.

The main aim of this project is to steer the vehicle according to the requirement. The four wheel steering is more required in critical roads and in desert roads. In this project we implement three steering modes in a single vehicle and the modes can be changed as needed. DESIGN AND FABRICATION OF MOTORIZED SCREW JACK FOR A FOUR WHEELER ABSTRACT With the increasing levels of technology, the efforts being put to produce any kind of work has been continuously decreasing. The efforts required in achieving the desired output can be effectively and economically be decreased by the implementation of better designs. Power screws are used to convert rotary motion into translatory motion. A screw jack is an example of a power screw in which a small force applied in a horizontal plane is used to raise or lower a large load. The principle on which it works is similar to that of an inclined plane. The mechanical advantage of a screw jack is the ratio of the load applied to the effort applied. The screw jack is operated by turning a lead screw. The height of the jack is adjusted by turning a lead screw and this adjustment can be done either manually or by integrating an electric motor. In this project, an electric motor will be integrated with the screw jack and the electricity needed for the operation will be taken from the battery of the vehicle and thereby the mechanical advantage will be increased.

DESIGN AND FABRICATION OF ROLLER BENDING MACHINE ABSTRACT A roll-bending process that minimizes the flat areas on the leading and Trailing ends of formed plates will produce more accur at and easier assemble Final shapes. There are several methods of minimizing flat areas, but they are Costly or difficult to apply for thick plates. This study proposes a new, simple approach that reduces these flat areas. This approach includes moving the bottom roll slightly along the feeding direction and adjusting the bottom roll location. Simulations were validated by experiments run on an instrumented roll-bending machine. The FE results indicate that this new approach not only minimizes the flat areas but also reduces the forming forces.

After all process hadbeen done, this crusher may help us to understand the fabrication and designing processthat involve in this project.Even though there are many types ofthe can crusher machine in the market, the completion of this new model providesamore practical usage.

MECHANICAL FORKLIFT USING REDUCTION GEAR MECHANISM ABSTRACT The main objective in the project which we are going to implement the reduction gear mechanism to lift up the object with lower speed .The forklift is operated by using motorized screw jack. To lower the speed and increase the torque we are using cluster gear mechanism. Now days there are several types of forklifts are used to handling heavy materials like containers, trolley. Some of the types available in market are hand pallet truck, walkie low lift truck, etc... In this project we are implementing mechanical fork lift. The concept behind this is motorized screw jack, for this we are manufacturing two motorized screw jack for two forks because not to complex in the manufacturing and to assemble. In here we are introducing reduction gear mechanism to reduce the speed from motor to screw jack for the reduction gear mechanism cluster gears are being used. Our project is preferable to be used in small scale industries as it is not possible to use hydraulic forklift which has high investment cost. The advantage of this project is there is no leakage of fluids which takes place in hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Here the solid model of FORK was converted into Finite Element model. This paper reports Comparative static structural analysis of FORK structure can be find out.
  • 19. PENDULUM OPERATED WATER PUMP ABSTRACT The aim of our project is to produce a clean source of energy with easy working mechanism. We use the oscillation motion of a pendulum to produce the power. Our project idea is to pump out water using pendulum motion which replaces the hand lever in the hand pump. A frame acts as the support for both pendulum and hand pump. At one end of the frame pendulum is hanged and at the other end hand pump is placed. The lever is designed in such a way that it converts the oscillating motion of the pendulum into reciprocating motion for pumping out water. Hence when the pendulum is oscillated the motion of pendulum causes pumping out of water and continuous amount of water is being pumped out over a period of time (i.e.) for a single push of pendulum we get 4-5 oscillations where steady flow of water is produced. This source of energy also clean and does not cause any pollution to environment. This eco friendly nature also adds up to its advantages. Therefore this method is easier in handling and working, eco friendly in nature, greater output compared with conventional hand pump and also human effort is very less.

(Other turbine systems need up to 80% of their power to operate their electronics.)  Durable: no gearbox means easy maintenance and no expensive parts.  Easy to maintain: even by semi-skilled engineers.  Virtually silent: as the blades work with the wind, rather than cut through it.

DESIGN AND FABRICATION OF POWER GENERATION THROUGH SHOCK ABSORBER WITH BUCKLING ANALYSIS OF SHOCK ABSORBER ABSTRACT An electromagnetic linear generator and regenerative electromagnetic shock absorber is disclosed which converts variable frequency, repetitive intermittent linear displacement motion to useful electrical power. The innovative device provides for superposition of radial components of the magnetic flux density within a coil winding array. Due to the vector superposition of the magnetic field and magnetic flux from a plurality of magnets, a nearly four-fold increase in magnetic flux density is achieved over conventional electromagnetic generator designs with a potential sixteen-fold increase in power generating capacity. As a regenerative shock absorber, the disclose device is capable of converting parasitic displacement motion and vibration encountered under normal urban driving condition to a useful electrical energy for powering vehicles and accessories or charging batteries in electric and fossil fuel powered vehicles. The disclosed device is capable of high power generation capacity and energy conversion efficiency with minimal weight penalty for improved fuel efficiency.

EFFECT OF WELDING PARAMETERS (HEAT INPUT)ON MECHANICAL BEHAVIOR AND MICROSTRUCTURE OF SUBMERGED ARC WELDED HSLA STEEL JOINTS Abstract • The Heat Input has a great influence on the weldments properties. • The effect of heat controlled by welding current, voltage and welding speed on the microstructure and mechanical behaviour tensile properties ,hardness and toughness of the Carbon steel, Grade IS 2062 or St 55W weldments produced by submerged arc welding • The saw process was used for welding of 12mm AND 16 mm Carbon steel (Grade IS 2062 or St 55W )steel plates. • The weld joints were prepared by varying the weld current 270-330A • By varying the speed 850-1100mm/mins • The increase in the heat input affects the proportions of different micro constitution both in the weld metal and heat affected zone. • It is observed that the tensile strength (uts,ys),toughness and hardness decreases with increase in heat input on other hand % of elongation,5 reduction in area increases • The hardness has been found to vary from the base metal to weld line and peak harness was found in the HAZ. • The hardness of the weld metal was largely uniform
