THE STARTING FIVE
1. At four games, the Aggies are on their longest winning streak in nearly a
year where last year’s squad won four in a row between Jan. 5 and 10.
2. Cameron Lee is second in the nation with a 55 percent three-point
percentage; Nolan Davis from Seton Hill is presently first with a 59.4
percentage.
3. With a 52.8 team field goal percentage, the Aggies are fourth in the na-
tion but second overall in the LSC with Angelo State leading the nation with
a 56.3 percentage on the floor.
4. DJ Jackson is fourth nationally in assist-to-turnover ratio with a 4.08, on
Saturday at home against Northwestern Oklahoma he had a career high 11
assists.
5. In LSC openers, the Aggies are 5-17 overall.
FIRST TIP: Cameron’s second season starts at home with Eastern New Mexico where the Greyhounds lead
the overall series 19-20. During the 2013-14 season, both teams would earn wins on the road at each others
home courts. At home this season Cameron is 5-1 overall and 62-24 in the seven seasons Head Coach Nate
Gamet has been with the Aggie program.
On Saturday, the Aggies never trailed from the opening tip to the final horn in a 72-53 win over Northwestern
Oklahoma after holding the Rangers to a 29.3 field goal percentage; this was the first time since Jan. 11, 2013
(Texas A&M-Commerce - 28.8) that a CU team held their opposition to under 30 percent shooting.
ABOUT EASTERN NEW MEXICO: The Greyhounds are entering their contest with the Aggies with a 7-6 overall
record and went 1-1 last week at home falling to CSU-Pueblo, 105-66, and besting South Dakota School of
Mines, 80-74. On the offensive end, ENMU has four averaging double-digit scoring with Chris Wyms leading
his squad with 14.3 ppg, John Gilliam and Lawrence Domingo both average 13.8 a game, and Michael
Randle in netting 11.4 per contest. As a team, ENMU is shooting 40.5 percent on the floor with 81.2 points
game, but they are allowing teams to shoot 47.6 percent on their side of the score and 90.4 points a game.
In the rebounding battle, Domingo is leading ENMU with 5.6 boards a game, while the Greyhounds overall
are a -3.9 against teams with 38.8 a game.
AGGIE EFFICIENCY: Cameron is fourth best in the nation with a 52.8 team field goal percentage in 12
contests this season and only once the Aggies have shot lower than their opposition. The Aggies are 6-1
when shooting between 50-69 shots per game and they have been on the losing end of the turnover battle
10 games out of the 12 this season. When holding a team to under 44 percent on the floor and when they
have more rebounds, CU is 8-1; only once this season the Aggies have had fewer rebounds.
SHARING THE BALL: Against Dallas Christian on Dec. 20 and Northwestern Oklahoma on Jan. 3 the Aggies
had back-to-back game with a player having 10 more assists. Both Bruce Barron and DJ Jackson dished
out 11 assists and it was the first time in at least the last decade a CU player has had 10 more for assists in
consecutive games.
COMING UP: The Aggies will be on the road for their next two LSC contests with a trip to West Texas A&M on
Saturday and a stop at Texas A&M-Commerce this next Wednesday.
