1. One of the natural phenomena that have affected most was Hurricane Katrina, for
all the world, which hit with a destructive force in:
Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama, causing many destruction and deaths
in the population, constructions in that area beguns to destroyd, and economny
increased in a very tall porcentaje. The devastating natural phenomenon not only
facilitate to stop U.S. economic growth, because it also affects world economy and
Irak.
Most experts believe that it will take time to establish the material losses that could
reach historic levels, yet with unpredictable consequences for the global economy
first.
On August 29, Katrina's storm surge caused 53 different levee breaches in greater
New Orleans submerging eighty percent of the city. A June 2007 report by the
American Society of Civil Engineers indicated that two-thirds of the flooding were
caused by the multiple failures of the city's floodwalls.[
The prices of petrol, even before the storm had reached unique levels, but those
were affected because the hurricane ravaged the area where the U.S. has
concentrated much of its oil operations.
At the time the hurricane came to paralyze 91 percent of daily oil production and 83
percent of natural gas in the Gulf area, while nine refineries remained close.
The other problem is the challenge to present the budgetary costs of reconstruction
in the next two years, of all the houses destroyed that will allow households to
return to normal. The cost of damage caused by Hurricane Katrina could exceed
many billions of dolars.
Here we can observe taht this natural problem affects many in he contry´s
economy, brecause we can conclude that this phenomen is the cause of the heat
that poplulation is showing to the world (global warming), but together we can let
this problems go!
