How many people here had lego growing up as a kid? How many people remember parents saying how educational lego was?
Danish phrase leg godt, which means "play well“-OriginallyBuilt by a carpenter -Every piece is compatible with some of the existing pieces-120 designers come up with lego concepts-It takes 12 months to develop a lego model- 50 years it has produced some 400 billion Lego blocks-about 600 pieces per second-divided equally among a world population of six billion, each person would have 62 Lego bricks.-Lego could be considered the world's No. 1 tire manufacturer; the factory produces about 306 million tiny rubber tires a year.[8]
To me the best thing about lego is that stretches as far as your imagination
I didn’t think so either but growing up lego was all I could think aboutLittle did I know it was setting the foundation for a life long passion in project management
Project management is the discipline of planning, organizing, securing and managingresources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives-A defined beginning and end-Unique goal or objective-Beneficial change or added value-It’s not business as usual – it’s a project
What are some projects you’ve worked on?
-Give bag of Lego to each team of 7-Note that there is no box or instructions-they have to use the lessons to develop a vision for what they want to build- don’t build anything yet!
-Ask elements for each point -scope and features -who will build it -estimating time etc
-Have each team communicate their plan to the group -what features will their model have -who will build it
-Each team will now have time to create the model they intended to build
-Have each team communicate their plan to the group -what features will their model have -who will build it
-One member of each team will go to another team-Sharing ideas is encouraged-sharing pieces is encouraged
-Have each team communicate their plan to the group -what features will their model have -who will build it
