They are an important part of society because they
spearhead causes to change society for the better
and make an impact on the lives of the
disadvantaged.

• Greenpeace exists because this fragile earth
deserves a voice. It needs solutions. It needs
change. It needs action.
• Greenpeace is an independent global
campaigning organization that acts to change
attitudes and behaviour, to protect and
conserve the environment.
6. Animal: World Wildlife Fund
AIMS:
To stop the degradation of the planet's natural
environment and to build a future in which humans live in
harmony with nature, by:
• conserving the world's biological diversity.
• ensuring that the use of renewable natural resources
is sustainable.
• promoting the reduction of pollution and wasteful
consumption.
7. Hunger/ poverty: ONE
• ONE is a grassroots advocacy and campaigning
organization that fights extreme poverty and
preventable disease, particularly in Africa, by raising
public awareness and pressuring political leaders to
support smart and effective policies and programs that
are saving lives, helping to put kids in school and
improving futures.
