widely regarded as one of the leading inventor of our
time . His range of work is huge and includes the
first machine to turn print to speech, the first music
synthesizer and the first commercially successful
speech-recognition technology. Kuraweil’s web side,
www.KurzweilAl.net is a leading resource on artificial
intelligence with over 100,000 readers.
He is author of the Age of Intelligent Machines
(1990), a best-selling book which made many
accurate predictions about the development of
technology over the next few decades, including the
importance of the computer. Overall Kurzweil’s
inventions have involved major advances in
computer science while also producing practical
products that meet importance needs. He also
started several very successful businesses to bring
these inventions to the public. His inventions have
helped disable people enrich the world of music, and
increased the usefulness of computers for everyone.

In pairs, discuss ways in which old people do things differently to

1. Do not used will in both parts of the first conditional. – If rain
tomorrow, I will stay at home. The present simple is used after If or
Unless in the first conditional.
2. If phrase can come first or second in the sentence but the present
simple tense always goes with the if phrase.
3. One verb in each sentence must be in the present simple and the
other is formed with will.

1. Unless means: if…not.
2. Unless word always followed by a positive verb.
Example:
I like to work unless you help me.
Well I like it unless I don’t work.
3. As soon as is similar to when except that it means at the exact
moment/time something happens or will happen.
Example:
As soon I get home I’ll tell my brother.
When I get home I’ll tell my brother.
4. Till is an abbreviated form of until and is more common in
conversation.
Example:
I’ll work till 4 o’clock.
I’ll work until 4 o’clock.

Turn your book on page 110 and identify the sentence where the
preposition is pronounced in their strong form and circle the word, and
underline those that are stressed.

Meaning of composition
Make a video clip composition with the title: “life forever” about your
character , 150 word writing, images or background and post it on the
blog.
