The big impacts on human beings and human relations have been defined
by innovation in technologies

3. Where are we today?
There is more access to internet over the world every minute, in our houses or
in our cells, which gives us an easy way to communicate. This allows us to
research anything, buy products and give our opinion, work off the office, and so
on, basically we have access to anything whenever we want.

4. Where are we today?
Social networks allows us to interact with people from all around the world. We
can share photos, thoghts, books, documents, what we eat and what we do at
any time in the different SSNN we have today:
• To express yourself: myspace, blogspot, wordpress, pinterest…
• To show your life: facebook, instagram, flickr, twitter…
• Personal communication: messenger, whatsapp, viber…
• Professional background: Linkedin, infojobs…

5. The next decade
As our history has shown us, in the next ten years technology will improve
and we will be able to see new technologies that we have never heard about.
Technology should, and I hope it will be, more accesible to people in terms
of all over the world and in terms of pricing. The majority of households will
live with all type of technologies such as smart TV, smartphones, tablets…
and they will be a basic in our lives.
New technologies will arise: google glasses, virtual assistants, fast
transportation, worldwide translators…
Text messages will be substituted by face to face virtual conferences
because of the improvement of this technology that will become much more
accessible

6. The impact of technology in the next decade
Of course it is easy to se de pro’s of technology:
• We will be able to communicate with other people from different cultures
and languages without cultural barriers. This can make you have new
experiences through new friends
• We will be better informed about our friends and family
• In this two points geography will not be an obstacle to maintain relations
• Globalization of all countries
• International businesses will have it easier to communicate their brands,
core business and marketing campaigns, for example.
• Exchanges of culture, ways of working, producing, all over the world. This
will help conciliation of family and professional life.

7. The impact of technology in the next decade
But there are also some con’s:
• We can have problems socializing face-to-face
• Lost of the definition of “friendship” and going on detrimental personal
relations
• People who not showing themselves through social networks
• Misunderstandings by overusing social networks instead of face-to-face
conversations
• Children that overuse technology can have problems of concentration and
efficiency in their studies
• Privacy is already a problem and will be even greater in the future
• Dependency on technology from a health point of view

8. Summary
With all this technology we are shifting from personal human interactions to
virtual interactions, all this technology which has strongly being developed in
the last 25 years has had a great impact in human relations. From photolog,
facebook and twitter, to whatsapp and instagram, these technologies already
make the world much smaller, and they get humans closer one to each other.
Information blows through all he world and can help in improving the world in
terms of medicine, transportation, engineering…
People are more and more connected with each other through new
technologies and this trend will certainly not slow down in ten years. People
will rely on technologies such as the internet for every realm of their lives.
New technologies such as the universal translator, google glasses, personal
watches, paying in stores and open our houses with our phone… are likely to
be developed in the next decade.
