This section will give an overview of the Amazon Seller Central & FBA systems and how
you can get set up to work with them.
I know what you are wondering right now…what is this supersecret
product I’ve been talking about?
But before I spill the beans I want to remind you to be cautious whom
you tell about this. I’d prefer we keep this special ingredient between us
OK, so without further ado… drum roll please….The product that sells
like crazy, with unheard of markups of 20,000% to even 150,000% is,
the VHS tape! Yes, that Old outdated technology is still alive & kicking!
And right now is the perfect time to get started with Amazon FBA (Fulfilled By
Amazon).

Amazon currently has around 80 million Prime members in the world with
about 50 million of those in the US!
Those Prime shoppers like to order from Amazon and do so regularly. (I know,
because I’m one of them!) I also know because I have customers who
regularly purchase from me…and I just started.
More and more searches are originating on Amazon as well and those
searching are READY TO BUY! So why not go right to the source?
They also like to get it quick, another benefit of FBA. They feel safer and more
confident when they know it’s in stock and ready to fly out the door. This is the
brilliant little ace up our sleeve, our “secret ingredient”.
A lot of folks are setting up stores and uploading their products but they are
avoiding the Amazon fees by shipping out themselves. What they fail to realize
is we are setting our prices to compete ONLY with the other FBAs, not them,
and we are selling our products faster & for much more than they are even

asking, right under their noses, just because we’ve sent it in for Amazon to
handle.
If you follow this program you can learn the first steps to growing an online
business & customer base. Then the sky is truly the limit!
And the cool thing, starting with this medium the VHS tape which many
consider outdated throwaway technology, is this creates a unique opportunity
for us.
I’ll show you how to source these little nuggets of black gold for zero cost up
to .50 cents max! Do not pay more than .50 cents!

Sometimes they say they are a dollar and I just tell them I never pay more than .
25 cents to .50 cents and then they say ok…every…single…time!
Well there is one thrift store which has them strictly at .68 cents, so I just go
there on the 4 or 5 times a month where everything is halfoff, then I get them
down to .34 cents!
Now let’s get started! Let’s create your Amazon Seller Central Account

To set up your seller central account just type sellercentral.amazon.com into your browser
(see below)

Then just scroll down and choose either Sell as a Professional or Sell as an Individual. When
you’re just getting started you can just do the individual and then change as your sales &
business grow. A professional pays $40/mo & forgoes the $1 per item fee when you sell.
Once you’ve made your choice, this screen will pop up. Just use the email you’d like to use and
select Create a new account.

(IMPORTANT: You can only use ONE Seller Central Account with Amazon)
Then just fill in your name, email & select a password. It’s that easy!
Section 1 What to sell 6 pages
This section will show you the recommended titles and genres of VHS tapes to acquire

and then sell and what prices they typically go for.

1) The more obscure, usually the better.
(If you’ve seen or heard of it before, then it’s maybe not as valuable)
2) Anything which never made it to DVD.
(remember, if it wasn’t heavily distributed and never made it to dvd = GOLD!)
3) Sports related.
4) Related to a specific niche.
(the more specific, the better! ie. Louisiana Cookin’ crawdaddy style!)
5) Workout videos.
6) Educational.
(HOWTO, ie. Cross stitch needlepoint step by step guide)
7) Classic movies / Cult movies / B Movies.
(I listed a B movie recently for $39.97 where all the reviews were saying it was
awesome because it was so bad!)

8) Kids movies.
(you won’t get a lot for the heavily distributed Disney movies, unless unopened, but
there’s a lot of other kids tapes that are valuable)

I didn’t know what to sell this for, because even though there was a listing it hadn’t had any
available in some time, so I posted it for $29.95

I also had a brand new Vol 3 (paid .10 cents for this as well) which didn’t even have a listing
yet on Amazon. I’ve since Created a Listing for this one and have it listed for $149.99 (which
I’ll lower to $99.99 if it doesn’t sell in 30 45 days)
Guess what…it sold, in only 22 days!

1) Thrift Stores are excellent places to source VHS tapes. In my area there are
numerous thrift stores and even some thrift central warehouses.
2) Estate Sales can be a great source for bulk tapes
3) Garage Sales can also produce some great bulk deals (Varage Sales app)
4) Online giveaway sources (freecycle, craigslist)
5) Deal/Quick Sell Sites (OfferUp, Close5, LetGo & Wallapop)

I love waking up in the morning and checking this app to see how much has sold
while I slept.

I also check on here daily to see if I have any messages, reviews or if my shipments
have been processed.

It can also be addictive checking your sales total throughout the day

Section 4 Time to Enter Products 17 pages
This section will show you how to add each product to your “store” and to track them
internally (excel) as well.

Before you start the entry process you must ALWAYS:
1) Make sure the tape matches up with the sleeve it’s in
2) Confirm it isn’t a bootleg or copy!
3) Be certain that it isn’t damaged (play a minute of it if possible
while you’re entering)
4) REWIND REWIND REWIND
5) Carefully remove any stickers, if you can do so without damaging
the sleeve
Several times I’ve found a different tape in the sleeve so make sure you check.
I’ve listed one and just stated in the notes that it was in a different sleeve and I’ve
listed a couple without sleeves or in a clear case.

Bootlegs can look very similar to the real movie but they usually don’t have thecredits on the back or can be a little blurry.
I’ve come across a few tapes that I hadn’t noticed were damaged at first.
Sometimes there will be a loose piece of plastic bouncing around inside so giving
it a quick little shake usually helps figure this out. If it’s rattling, I wouldn’t sell it.
You’re allowed to sell used on Amazon but if they are bootleg or damaged you
could get your account shut down.
I generally have to rewind about half of the tapes I get. I keep a player next to my
desk so I can quickly check them and then rewind.
I carefully remove stickers if they are for less than my asking price. If removing
them will damage the sleeve then I will usually just black them out with a sharpie.
Now let’s enter our first product!
Log into your seller central account & click on the Inventory link top left of the page.

When I list items I generally list them with what I call my “FireSale” price.
This is the lowest price, for the condition I’m offering, to gain the buy box.

Here’s my Excel spreadsheet to track my sales. I find it easiest to paste the
Title I copied from CCC (once I’ve determined the price I’m going to ask)
then continue through the add process to my shipping plan. I add the

initials for the condition (ie. A, G, VG, LN, N) just after the ISBN number.
Once I’ve entered my second item into seller central, I get this screen:

In this next picture I’m showing you how I apply the labels. I push the tape up to the top
of the poly bag and then apply the label to just cover the top of the barcode (if there is
one). This helps to avoid the mistake of your item being received into Amazon’s
unregistered stock. You can see the label on the right is still blocking the bar code even

after it’s settled to the bottom of the bag.

I then pack the items into an appropriate size box. You cannot use packing nuts or
shredded paper to fill in the gaps. I recommend you watch the video, in the packing
section link I pasted on pg 51, for the acceptable packing supplies. As you can see in the
second picture, I filled in the blank space with balled up sheets of the label paper I use.

I then tape the box up, weight & measure it. I click on the “Work on Shipment” for the
appropriate shipment and enter this info here:

Do not ship boxes which weight over 50 pounds! You can pack your
shipment into multiple boxes to avoid this. I prefer to pack boxes as
close to 50 pounds as possible, when I have the product available, to
get the biggest bangforthebuck with Amazon’s discount shipping.

Place shipping label on the box without placing them on a seam. They want to be able to
open the box and still scan. Also, if you tape them on remember to never tape over the
barcode as this can distort the code.
Don’t worry you don’t need to pay upfront the shipping fees will be deducted from your
first check, paid every two weeks.

It’s best to pack the VHS tapes in a Poly Bag (I have 3 reviews praising me for using these bags)
and if a bag is used you must have a Suffocation label put on each one you send. Below is an
excerpt from Amazon.
Poly bags with a 5" opening or larger (measured when flat) are required to have a suffocation
warning, either printed on the bag itself, or attached as a label.
For example: "WARNING: To avoid danger of suffocation, keep this plastic bag away
from babies and children. Do not use this bag in cribs, beds, carriages or play pens. This
bag is not a toy."
The warning should be printed or placed in a prominent location and in a legible font
size for the size of the bag.

You can just print the Shipping labels on a sheet of paper and tape them
